GREAT WAFFLE IRON
Have been looking for a long time for a waffle maker with removable plates, and this one was perfect for us. Have used it many.times for savory and yummy dessert waffles, but can be used for many other things. Best crisp Belgium waffles ever! Clean up is a breeze, and would highly recommend to waffles lovers who don't like to spend forever cleans the grids of unremovable plates. Try using the Krutze Waffle Mix, better than homemade. Great purchase for us!

Best Answer: No. You can make pancakes on it using the special included plates, but the iron does not open completely flat.

Traditional or Belgian?
A shopper on Jan 4, 2015
Best Answer: This product makes Belgian-style waffles, with the deeper pockets. If you want true Belgian, you need to use a recipe or mix with the right ingredients that will produce the airier, crisper outcome. I love the Krusteaz brand Belgian Waffle mix. It is easy to use, and produces great waffles. So far I'm happy with this model for waffles.
