I absolutely love these! My husband bought these for me as a gift and they work perfectly. I make hot wings a lot and they cut right through the joints like a warm knife through butter. I was a little shocked at first when I saw how much they cost, but they're well worth it. I don't have to be nervous when I'm using a big knife anymore to cut up the wings and it goes so much more quickly. They feel like good quality too. They have a good weight and don't feel flimsy at all like some other shears I've used
Best Answer:No I don't believe they do, they are unlike a typical pair of kitchen simple scissors that are hinged and can come apart. I will say I do like them a lot as they are curved, powerful to cut through tough parts of a bird, they are an adjunct to the other kitchen shears I have.
I wanted to be clear on this before deciding whether to purchase. Any additional feedback would be great; I am not finding the description (or lack of user reviews) very helpful.

Even though the steel used to manufacture these shears is dishwasher safe, We do not recommend putting any cutlery, including shears in the dishwasher for a couple of reasons. Number one is that things get jostled around quite a bit inside of a dishwasher and if something hits the shears they could chip or if the shears themselfs get knocked loose from their place, they could break something else in the dishwasher. Another reason is because the temperatures of a dishwasher can get very hot and these blades are forged in heat. If they are exposed to periods of extreme heat it could potentially change the moleculary structure of the steel itself and causing it to lose some of its flexibility and/strength. This could lead to damage further down the line.
I have had a set of Wusthoff knives for many years and I have always handwashed them, honed them regularly and have only had to had them actually sharpened once. They are still as good as the day I bought them.
