A book everyone needs to own.
This is the one book you can count on to have all of the answers when it comes to French techniques. It is a historical icon amongst other cookbooks and will never steer you wrong. Let's be honest for a second, when the French themselves won't use any other Beef bourguignon recipe but Julia Child's than you know shes doing something right. This is a must have for beginners to professionals, foodies to the working mother. I insist on having a copy both at home and in my kitchen

We Love Our Julia
I grew up with Julia Child and watched her show on PBS. This cookbook is most excellent and, although fairly unique in its layout, gives great descriptive references that not only help you reproduce a perfect recipe but also teaches you techniques that you can use in your cooking repertoire. Love this book. Love

popular classic
i do enjoy this, but im not a collector (just a fan of the movie lol), and find that this isn't used as much because the recipes can be quite intimidating for me (and I cook from scratch often!!) I do like having it in case I want to get fancy or impress company I guess. I have, however, learned a lot from this book, very interesting
