A pan, a smile, great results!
After using the 8" pan, which I actually ordered by mistake, I then ordered the 10"! Yes, I could have returned the 8" but we liked it so well that another size for other purposes was the best thing to do. A fried egg slides right onto a plate, just like the TV chefs do!

My favorite nonstick surface and a fantastic brand
I think the title says it all - out of all of the nonstick pans I've used through the years, my favorite is All-Clad's. It's not just nonstick, it's slippery. And it will hold up well, I've had one for 10 years that I still use because although it's not as slick anymore, it's a very well constructed pan. My only complaint is the signature All Clad handle - nice to look at but digs painfully into your hand.

Nice quality, cook very well, worth the upgrade.
My husband and I are replacing our Calphalon piece by piece over time with All-Clad. I wasn't completely convinced, since my Calphalon was good, but as my non-stick skillets needed to be replaced we upgraded to All-Clad and you can definitely tell a difference in quality. Prefer the weight too.

Amazing pan, better than ever eggs!
This is a great pan for cooking eggs. We have the copper core pans for most everything else but I don't like to deal with eggs on anything other than non-stick. This is heavy enough material to really retain heat. The coating is amazing, I probably wouldn't even need to add butter to the pan. Very happy with the purchase.

A Jacques Pepin flatbread recipe calls for a 10" non-stick skillet and I don't own one. I bought these skillets with this recipe in mind. The 8" size is a good size for omelets, etc.

I own the 8" pan and love it . I bought the 12" pan because I don't have this size. I wanted to buy a product that is still made in the USA and this item fit my criteria in that regard. I hand wash and dry my 8" pan and it looks like new. Remember to let the pan cool off completely prior to washing - per the warranty.

What is the Sur la tab Non-stick 10" pan warranty? How Long can I expect these pans to last, if taking care of properly? I hang each pan carefully, hand wash w/ soap, and only use olive oil, butter or other oils to cook with; no spray i.e. Pam.

BEST ANSWER: Hi Julie. I've had my full 10 pc set for over 15 years. Only reason I had to replace my 10 inch skillet was due to a careless roommate (ex now) that cut meat in side of my skillet while cooking and destroyed the non stick finish inside the skillet. I have taken care of my set, much like you have mentioned above, re-hand washing and drying. I stack my set in my cabinet, using paper towels between each pan to avoid scratching.
Like I said my set is 15 years old, I use low heat settings and hand wash and dry and I think my set will last another 15 years easily. Good luck with your set Julie.
GM, a happy senior customer.
How safe is the nonstick surface & does it come off over time?
A shopper on Nov 27, 2014
BEST ANSWER: I just ordered my second All Clad skillet to replace one I have had for a few years. I didn't have any safety concerns. It is important to take care of the nonstick surface so it will last longer. I use an olive oil mister instead of cooking spray. You should also never use heat over medium, which with this pan you shouldn't need. All nonstick pans will eventually need to be replaced. I cook with these pans almost daily and think they are worth the cost.
is the NONSTICK FINISH the same used in both the HA1 and the D5 lines?

All-Clad HA1 Nonstick Skillets, 8" & 10"
BEST ANSWER: I'm not sure how they compare, however I love the HA1 set. It's durable (and forgiving that I'm not following the care instructions to the letter). They proved to be the go to pans for many meals.
i notice that Sur la table all-clad non stick skillet is made in USA, other stores skillets are made in China and are less expensive. What's the difference??
A shopper on Feb 24, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Nearly all of AllClad's cookware is made in the USA, regardless of the cooking surface.
If it says the price range of the pan is $99 - $224 and I'm looking at the 10"" version, why is the price $170? What version would be $99
Lance G on May 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The 8"" skillet is $99.96
doe it come with a lid?
joanne h on Aug 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: My nonstick skillet did not come with a lid. My lids from the sauce pans fit the skillets.
How much does it weigh?
Peter P on Dec 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have no idea what it weighs. I use it for cooking not weight lifting.
"Perfect for everything from frying eggs and bacon to searing a salmon fillet". Perfect for everything from liquid meat, meat and meat? Is this skillet biased against cooking vegetables?
Callan C on Mar 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Vegetables especially when they are fresh have a considerable water content which rapidly evaporates when heat is applied. Be certain to use olive or grape seed oil and start the heating process slowly. This skillet should work quite well and is fully unbiased ! Maurice P 3/30/15
