Description

An excellent foundation for any kitchen, this versatile pressure cooker set includes a 5-quart saucepan and a 2-quart frying pan that can be used for either conventional cooking or pressure cooking. Perfect for searing and browning meats prior to slow cooking and great for pulled pork, rice, chili or other traditionally slow-cooked recipes, a pressure cooker helps retain nutrients and moisture while reducing both cooking time and energy usage by up to 70%.

An innovative pressure control knob allows you to release steam quickly and easily without the need to hold down a valve, while handy, easy-to-read measurements make it simple to see when the cooker’s contents have reached the correct pressure.

An included steaming trivet converts the pressure cooker into a steamer that’s ideal for seafood, vegetables and more. The included Quick Cuisine cookbook is filled with mouth-watering recipes and helpful pressure-cooking tips.

Best pressure cooker on the market.
My first pressure cooker was a Kuhn Rikon 6 liter and found myself burning my forearm trying to turn piece of meat in the deep space. I loved my 6 liter for soups and such so wasn't about to part with it. I saw the duo and instantly fell in love with both pieces as I have found recipes to suit both the 2 and 5 liter vessels. The Kuhn Rikon has three safety back ups to guard against any mishaps and automatically lock under pressure (something the Fagor product you must manually do). I have had my Kuhn Rikon duo and use it once or twice a week and has been going strong for the better part of fourteen years. The stainless steel cleans easily with Barkeepers Friend and I love the way I can use a screwdriver to remove the handles for a more thorough cleaning. The pressure regulator also easily comes apart for a more thorough cleaning. Very well made product and have added to my pressure cooker family over the years and now have six, all Kuhn Rikon made.
