Great Scanpan Addition
We've been loving our Scanpan frying pan, with its bombproof non-stick surface and browning capability, but it just wan't deep enough for bigger jobs - including braising. This 3 qt. sauté pan filled the bill perfectly. The fact that it was on sale - not a regular event for this line of cookware - was just a bonus.

Love the 3 qt CTQ Saute Pan with lid
This pan is awesome. I love the steam vents in the lid. The size is great - not too big and not too small. Not too heavy, nor too light. I loved it so much I purchased one for my son and daughter-in-law. The sale price was an added blessing.

Scan pan
We have been using scan pans since we took a cooking class with Sur la Table. They are great addition to person's kitchen who loves to cook. They also clean up in a snap. Love your pans and they will last forever!

Scanpan
I love this pan. I can fry eggs without any butter or spray. It's heavy but I expected that with the quality of the components. Even heating, as expected.

I thought that the write up stated that metal utensils could be used (to my surprise) but the pamphlet that came with the pan said no.

I'll see what the test of time brings with the coating.

The Best
What can I say? If I had to choose just one pan to have in my kitchen this would be it. The quality is the best and the lid is great. You can cook just about anything in this pan on the stovetop or in the oven. Even though the pan cost a little bit it is so worth the price. My Dad would have liked this pan a lot. (He was a chef).

Finally! A non-stick coating that doesn't degrade.
These pans have a *great* non-stick coating. When compared to All-Clad, these pans will retain heat a bit longer (because of the aluminum construction, I imagine) so you need to be a bit more careful, especially if you have a gas cooktop. However, they clean up like a *dream*. I have to admit being a bit timid to try out the claims that metal utensils can be used, but that's probably just me. Working fantastic so far.

Is the glass lid oven-safe? If so, to what temperature?
A shopper on Jan 10, 2015
Best Answer: You know, I have no idea. But the product is so outstanding, if you have not purchased it, I would totally recommend. There must be documentation, but it's very heavyweight, I would figure it to be safe to 400F.

Can the pan be used with induction heating cooktop?
A shopper on Feb 5, 2015
Best Answer: Although we do not use induction, on our last visit to Sur la Table, in Chicago, a sales associate demonstrated Scanpan use on an induction cook top. So, long story short: the answer is, 'yes'.

Does the lid fit any of the skillets? If so, which skillet size?
Candice T on May 5, 2015
Best Answer: Hi Candice,
I use the 3 qt. pan lid on my Scanlan classic skillet and it works well. I measured my skillet and it is 10.5 inches across. I saw on the website that the classic skillets only come in 10 inches or 10.25 in the classic set of two. Maybe someone at the store could let you try them out but as I shared my 3 qt. lid does fit my 10.5 classic skillet.
