Just okay
I was very excited to get this and use it at Thanksgiving dinner. The product ended up being "just okay." The lid does not have a good fit - there are many gaps around the edges. Wouldn't really recommend this product.

Its light, attractive and cover keeps contents hot!
I recommend the rectangular stoneware baker. Also easy to clean!

It says the lid is not oven safe. Is the lid microwave safe? I think it would be fine to use foil during the initial baking process, take off the foil to finish the baking of the lasagna, but can some one tell me if we can leave the lid on to reheat the lasagna in the microwave?
LeiLani on Nov 1, 2014
Best Answer: No, the lid isn't microwave or oven safe.

I understand that the lid is not oven or micro safe. Can I prepare, say macaroni place it into the frig and then go directly to the oven? Thanks in advance for your help
A shopper on Nov 19, 2014
Best Answer: I haven't used mne yet but I thought the lid could go in the oven or microwave. I'm going to contact Sur La Table and ask.

Is it broiler safe?
A shopper on Oct 27, 2014
Best Answer: They're only oven safe to 482°, so if you use a broiler, it'll have to be at or below that temp.

Why was the original price of the covered bakers 59.95 and now it is 89.95? They were on sale for 39.95 .
A shopper on Dec 15, 2014
Best Answer: I purchased my rectangle baker set of 3 with lids (for a total of 6 pieces consisting of a small, medium and large bakers) for $59.95 back in November. I believe the value of this set is $89.95. I also purchased at the same time a 3.9 quart capacity rectangle baker with a lid for $39.95, but the original price for this item was $59.95. I believe there may have been another option to purchase a set of two rectangle bakers (one smaller and one larger) but without the lids for $39.95. I think all three options are a good value. Hope this helps to understand the difference between the pricing.
