Great griddle
My wife loves this pan. Not only is it great for crepes, but we use it to make pancakes, eggs and even bacon

Works great
Our kids were introduced to crepes at a ski resort we often go to, and have been bugging us to make them at home. So we got this pan and tried it this weekend. It took us a few tries to get the technique down, but now we're turning out beautiful crepes and our kids are happy. This is a good piece of gear

Great Staub quality, poor location for label
I love, LOVE Staub cookware and the quality of the products they produce. Wonderful for my new induction cooktop, and so-O much better than my LeCreuset cookware that needed to be replaced. The objection is the location of the label that SurLaTable placed on the bottom of the pan. 2 labels, one peeled off easily, the other I am still trying to get the gunk off it.

Work great and good quality
This is a product with really good quality and well-designed tools. Its works as great as you expect every time. After I made order, I got my order in only three days (I live in HI!). Since I have it, I use it almost every two to three days for my family. Both of my kids and my husband love the soft crepe and the crispy crepe I made very-very much. I have tried several recipes of crepe to match different sauces or fruit or food, it works perfectly each time. I am going to get another one for my mother^^

Very heavy but excellent!
I would highly recommend this pan to anyone want to experience fabulous crepes. I like sweet crepes for dessert stuffed with ice cream and topped with fresh fruit and a touch of syrup. My husband likes crepes for breakfast with peanut butter, topped with syrup. This pan makes excellent, easy crepes!

I bought this because of the high reviews and was so excited to try it out for crepes yesterday (the same day I bought it). However, the pan cracked on the first try! I couldn't believe it and was livid when that happened. I am angry because it was advertised to withstand 500 degrees. Will definitely return.

Elizabeth B on Apr 20, 2015
Would like to make some tortillas and wraps, and a crepe pan was recommended. I chose the cast iron because we try to avoid non-stick surfaces to have less exposure to the toxins.

Is this non-stick? I'd like to order it for pancakes, but am scared that they will stick to the surface.
lynda S on Jul 22, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Like other staub products, it is enamel coated cast iron, it does not need seasoning like uncoated cast iron. Typically crepes have enough butter in them that a slight addition of butter before cooking is all that is needed.
can straub crepe pan with wooden handle be put in oven
A shopper on Mar 6, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Maybe at a low temperature for a short time, but I would not recommend it. It is made for crepes, which should not require being placed in the oven. You could put just the pan part under a broiler if you wanted to quickly melt a topping or sugar
I am hoping not to use additional butter or grease in any way when I make crepes. Hopefully, the batter will contain enough not to have to. What do you think? Please get me your thoughts. Thanks so much.
Jone G on Oct 31, 2016
BEST ANSWER: YES, YOU'LL BE FINE-DON'T NEED TO USE ADDITIONAL BUTTER OR GREASE.
What size ladle is shown in photo w Staub crepe pan?
juli m on Aug 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 7.8oz
is the handle meant to be loose?
A shopper on Oct 14, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The handle on mine is not loose. There is a small metal ring where the wood handle meets the metal part that spins/is loose but the handle is solid. Nothing wiggles or is loose. Hope that helps!
How do I cure an iron crepe pan?
A shopper on Mar 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I did not need to season my Staub crepe pan. However, the first few crepes of any batch are tossed. I use A light sweep of olive oil for each crepe.
weight

How heavy is this pan? Is it relatively easy to lift with one hand (getting weaker as I get older...)?
A shopper on Dec 3, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This pan weighs 10 lbs, so it probabaly isn't very easy to lift with one hand
Does this pan come with the turner, and spreader which is in the description. There are no pictures confirmning this. Thank
A shopper on Oct 31, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, the spreader and turner mentioned in the description are included
How much crepe batter would you put in the 11" crepe pan? 1/2 cup?
Jone G on Nov 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: 3/4 cup seems to be the right amount. .

A shopper on Dec 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: This is the only color & handle we carry.
