Love these stands!
Love these cake stands. I bought a few from Sur La Table-best price I've seen for these. These are on the heavy side which I don't mind. Love the quality and how it looks.

Do you deliver to the UK - United Kingdom?
John Marx on Sep 29, 2014
Best Answer: At this time, we are unable to process international orders placed over the web or over the phone. Our international shipping charges are determined by the destination of the items and the dimensional weight of the box, and do not include any taxes or duty that may be applied upon reaching their destination. We do need a credit card with a United States billing address, otherwise a money order in U.S. funds must be sent for the amount of the order. Please note that tariffs, customs, and/or duties may be due upon delivery of your package. These additional charges are the responsibility of the package recipient.

Will this cake stand hold a 3 tier wedding cake?
A shopper on Jul 12, 2015
Best Answer: This would probably be able to support the cake but it depends on the dimensions of the bottom tier not sure if it would fit. As long as there's no cake board visible you could fit a 12" base on this playter

Will this cake stand support a 12 inch cake board? I'd like to use it for my wedding cake, which will be a 6"-8"-10" tiered cake.
Karie K on Jul 28, 2015
Best Answer: I am a professional baker and use this stand often to display wedding cakes. It is certainly strong and level enough for your cake but the 12" cake board is just a tiny bit too large to fit inside the lip. You can make your own cake board cut just slightly smaller from several layers of foam core board and wrapped in cake foil, or we like to use an 11" clear acrylic disk. In a pinch I have also placed a 10" board underneath the regular 12" one just to keep it above the lip. It is a lovely stand and I highly recommend it with a few tweaks.

I've noticed there are "seams" on the jadeite version of this cake plate. Does the white version of this cake plate have any seams? If so, are they at all bothersome?

Best Answer: The white cake stand has a seam but it is not noticeable or bothersome.
All cake stands made in one piece will have a seam. I find this piece by Mosser Glass well done and attractive.

Aside from the rim around the top of the cake plate, I'm looking for a completely flat surface for cakes. Is the surface completely flat, or does is rise up or dip down in the center?
Sherri T W on Jan 21, 2015
Best Answer: Because these are handmade glass, there is a a very slight dip in the center about the size of a silver dollar (picture the underside of a stem of a wineglass, but much less pronounced). Personally I think this shows the small-batch quality that makes them charming, but if you're looking for something absolutely flat for some specific reason, these are not that. I do love them though. They're gorgeous and impressive!

Would the 10" stand hold a 4 tier cake?
A shopper on Jul 28, 2015
Best Answer: I bought this for my wedding cake stand. It was three tiers and the bottom two were fake, however with the base being 12" this was a challenge because of the lip on the stand. We had to get crafty in order for the base of the cake to sit on the lip. I your cake is 12" base or larger this will not work. But it is sturdy and worked great!
