Love this beautiful dutch oven
I purchased the largest size over a year ago and have absolutely loved it. Would never go back to Le Crueset - this is so much lighter! Cleans so easily and looks gorgeous. Heats quickly and evenly. Could not be happier with my large one and just ordered the 4.2 size today in a different color.

be careful on a stovetop !
Looks great and stylish.

I strongly suggest you *never* use it on a stovetop.

Bought this recently and used it a couple times. To remove some burnt on food, I started boiling a quart of water on a stovetop. Started at medium low heat for a couple minutes, then bumped it up to medium high heat. Within seconds of turning up the heat to mediium high, I heard a crack and water started dripping out of the crack.

Had I done the same thing with a cast iron dutch oven, I think it would have been fine. My error was in assuming that this ceramic dutch oven was almost as rugged as a cast iron dutch oven.
