BEST OF THE BEST - 80mm Atlas Marcato Pasta machine & motor
This is the 3rd pasta machine I have purchased and by far the best of the bunch. I also purchased the motor for this model and am very glad I did. One of my other pasta makers also has a motor but the Atlas motor leaves my old motor in the dust. I recommend buying both the pasta maker and to make life much easier the motor for it. Please note that the motor should not be operated CONTINUALLY for more than 15 minutes at a time. I used it for more than 15 minutes but was turning it on and off during that time.

We know someone who has used the Atlas pasta machine for a few years & it works great, we chose the180mm model because it has 2 cutters included vs the 150mm which does not come with any cutters.

Atlas Marcato is a well-known name synonymous with quality and durability. This is a valuable product when making homemade pastas.
MELISSA N on Dec 31, 2015
This is a replacement for a pasta machine I have had for about 10 years and have abused...in a good way by making lots of pasta. I really like the large size (30mm larger)! Also it comes with my two favorite cutters, spaghetti and fettuccine, PERFECT!

Atlas is top of the line, and this model is an inch or so wider than the 150, meaning you can crank out your perfect pasta more quickly (not as many batches). Bought as a gift to accompany Marcella Hazan cookbook.

Found on Amazon but had a discount code for Sur La Table website.
Ming Hwa F on Oct 30, 2015
I took a pasta-making class at Sur La Table last month and used the 150mm machine in the class. The machine is well-built and does its job very well. To be able to purchase the 180mm machine on sale for the price of the 150mm machine was an offer too good to pass up. Can't wait to make some pasta at home. Though I haven't yet tried to make it, for some reason ravioli is calling my name...
Diane G on Sep 25, 2015
I wanted a wider machine, and they had the best price, and free shipping.

I like to eat as little processed food as possible. This will be healthier, fun, take me back to making pasta as a girl with my great aunt... and nothing beats homemade pasta!

Atlas Marcato Pasta Machine Difference

I just purchased Atlas Marcato Red Pasta Machine, 150mm from your Las Vegas location and looking on the website for the optional attachments and noticed there is a 180mm & 150mm machine. What is the difference and are all the attachments available for both machines?ThanksRocc
A shopper on Dec 11, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The primary difference between these two pasta makers is the size and then that the 180mm machine comes with 2 different pasta cutters (1 for spaghetti and 1 for fettuccine). The 150mm machine does not come with these cutters, however both machines have the 9-setting dial to control the thickness of your dough. The attachments are made for the 150mm machine and will not fit the 180mm
are there pasta attachments that can be bought for this size? I only see ones for the 150 mm
A shopper on Oct 15, 2015
BEST ANSWER: At this time, there are no additional attachments for purchase for the Atlas Marcato 180mm machine. Please keep in mind that the 180mm machine DOES come with 2 pasta cutters one for 1.6mm spaghetti and one for 6mm fettuccine which basically covers most of what you need. The 150mm machine DOES NOT come with any pasta cutters and you must purchase these as separate accessories.
Can you put pizza dough through this machine to make very thin crust pizza?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I wouldn't recommend it. Using it for a dough of a different consistency could likely jam the rollers.
Is this the wellness model
A shopper on Jan 3, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is the wellness model
Can this be used to process crossant dough

I have a shoulder problem and was looking into dough sheeters but their too expensive.
A shopper on Oct 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Unfortunately this would not be good for croissant dough. It would compact your dough too much and you would not have the light, flaky finished product
Is the Marcato Atlas 180mm pasta maker currently in stock?
Gary C on Oct 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: IN STOCK: Ready to Ship
whats the length of rollers?
A shopper on Mar 21, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The inside dimension of the roller is 7 inches.
2 different pasta cutters (1 for spaghetti and 1 for fettuccine) for the Atlas 180 are they sold seperatly?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2014
BEST ANSWER: Both the fettuccini and spaghetti cutters come with the pasta maker. You can also make sheets of pasta which are great for either ravioli or very wide noodles. I love my machine. We've made great pasta dishes with it. Easy to use and a really fun thing to have. My 23 year old daughter wants one after our Christmas Eve lobster ravioli making adventure!
I wanna buy this machine with motor. How much $$$, and you shipping to Brazil?

Rubens
Rubens W on Nov 12, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We do ship to Brazil, but we don't have this machine with the motor at this time.
Can you use this for fondent ?
A shopper on Aug 5, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I have never used it for this purpose but I don't see why it wouldn't work. My only concern would be with making sure that your fondant had a consistency that would not allow it to gum up the rollers. They would be difficult to clean.
How wide is the pasta when it comes out? Can this be used for a raised dough that is rolled out for nutrolls?
mary S on Jan 23, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It's about 6 1/2 inches wide. I've never used this for anything but pasta dough but I would think you could use it for nutrolls. There is a dial that allows you to adjust how thin you want the dough rolled. Hope this helps!
Is there a ravioli attachment for the 180?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2015
BEST ANSWER: No. The only attachments that I know of are the ones included with the machine. I keep it simple so this machine has served me (and the people I've cooked for) well. Love the wide size. Couldn't imagine using anything smaller.
Is this a Wellness maker? if not, what is the difference
A shopper on May 28, 2015
BEST ANSWER: Yes, this is the wellness model.
Will this machine work as a dough/fondant sheeter?

Looking for an alternative to extremely expensive fondant sheeter. For daughter starting out in culinary arts.
A shopper on Jan 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Fondant is a much tougher consistency than pasta dough. I would not suggest it, as you would risk damaging the machine
Are attachments available for the Atlas 180 Pasta Machine?

I want t make lasagna.
A shopper on Jan 9, 2013
BEST ANSWER: According to Marcato, ""A complete system of attachments applicalbe to the body of the machine allow for obtaining more than 15 types of pasta: from Spaghetti to Ravioli, from Lasagne to Angel's Hair."
Can this be used for yeast dough? For nutrolls
