Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
I bought a pasta maker and a restaurant in Geyserville, CA makes the best Lasagna I have ever had-- they use EXTRA thin noodles and I want to try it.

we make lots of fresh pasta; first pasta maker I've bought. Will review after first use
Michelle R on Jan 25, 2016
I saw from a few reviews that this was the best value for the price unless i wanted to jump up another $150.00
Laura E on Feb 3, 2016

Atlas Marcato Pasta Machine Difference

I just purchased Atlas Marcato Red Pasta Machine, 150mm from your Las Vegas location and looking on the website for the optional attachments and noticed there is a 180mm & 150mm machine. What is the difference and are all the attachments available for both machines?ThanksRocc
A shopper on Dec 11, 2011
Best Answer: The primary difference between these two pasta makers is the size and then that the 180mm machine comes with 2 different pasta cutters (1 for spaghetti and 1 for fettuccine). The 150mm machine does not come with these cutters, however both machines have the 9-setting dial to control the thickness of your dough. The attachments are made for the 150mm machine and will not fit the 180mm

Can this be used to process crossant dough

I have a shoulder problem and was looking into dough sheeters but their too expensive.
A shopper on Oct 23, 2012
Best Answer: Unfortunately this would not be good for croissant dough. It would compact your dough too much and you would not have the light, flaky finished product

are there pasta attachments that can be bought for this size? I only see ones for the 150 mm
A shopper on Oct 15, 2015
Best Answer: At this time, there are no additional attachments for purchase for the Atlas Marcato 180mm machine. Please keep in mind that the 180mm machine DOES come with 2 pasta cutters one for 1.6mm spaghetti and one for 6mm fettuccine which basically covers most of what you need. The 150mm machine DOES NOT come with any pasta cutters and you must purchase these as separate accessories.

Can you put pizza dough through this machine to make very thin crust pizza?
A shopper on Sep 26, 2015
Best Answer: My brother in law has the Atlas 170 machine and wants a linguine attachment. Will the attachments for the 150 work on the 170 model, or is he out of luck? I cannot find attachments for the 170 anywhere!

2 different pasta cutters (1 for spaghetti and 1 for fettuccine) for the Atlas 180 are they sold seperatly?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2014
Best Answer: Both the fettuccini and spaghetti cutters come with the pasta maker. You can also make sheets of pasta which are great for either ravioli or very wide noodles. I love my machine. We've made great pasta dishes with it. Easy to use and a really fun thing to have. My 23 year old daughter wants one after our Christmas Eve lobster ravioli making adventure!

How wide is the pasta when it comes out? Can this be used for a raised dough that is rolled out for nutrolls?
mary S on Jan 23, 2016
Best Answer: It's about 6 1/2 inches wide. I've never used this for anything but pasta dough but I would think you could use it for nutrolls. There is a dial that allows you to adjust how thin you want the dough rolled. Hope this helps!

Is there a ravioli attachment for the 180?
A shopper on Dec 31, 2015
Best Answer: No. The only attachments that I know of are the ones included with the machine. I keep it simple so this machine has served me (and the people I've cooked for) well. Love the wide size. Couldn't imagine using anything smaller.

Will this machine work as a dough/fondant sheeter?

Looking for an alternative to extremely expensive fondant sheeter. For daughter starting out in culinary arts.
A shopper on Jan 9, 2013
Best Answer: Fondant is a much tougher consistency than pasta dough. I would not suggest it, as you would risk damaging the machine
