Add a creative spin to your cooking with this innovative spiral cutter. Two razor-sharp blades work in concert to cut thin, uniform ribbons while the rotating crank keeps food firmly pressed against the cutting surface. The result: long, spiraling slices of your favorite vegetables. Spiral slice a wide, thick ribbon of potato for do-it-yourself chips, thin-slice a red onion for pickling or create healthful and delicious zucchini noodles—thanks to the easily adjustable blade wheel, the Spiralfix cuts vegetable and fruit spirals in four different widths.

To use, simply open the folding lid, set the desired width and place your vegetable into the container, then close the lid and crank while pressing downward. Spiral-cut veggies fall into the nonslip base that snaps off the unit to double as a handy storage container.

Spiraling out of control!
Bravo! Our Sur La Table chef demonstrating tasty dishes recommended the GEFU Spiralfix. We loved the meal so much we decided to check it out. We love it, the only challenge is the lid does not separate, so cleaning is not as easy as it should be. So far I have not broken, but I anticipate it is just a matter of time.

Great Choice
The salesperson in the store convinced me that this was a better choice than the "popular" one. After using it, I agree. It does a great job, changing blades is simplistic, and everything is nice and tidy. I agree with first review tho, the top will eventually break since there is no way to separate it from the base. Not sure they they decided this was a good idea. It is somewhat awkward to clean/dry.

Ok for soft veggies, but not hard ones
Love the compact design and ease of use . Works great on squash, zucchini and onion. Could not get it to work on carrots and radishes. The SurLaTable horizontal cutter does it all.

Soft veggies only and hard to clean
It's well built, but pretty much only works with soft veggies like zucchini. My other complaint is the same as others on this site. The handle can't be detached so it's difficult to clean the inside.

I really like the spiral cutter, zucchini noodles are amazing. However, it is difficult to clean because the top/handle do not detach from the body. A cotter pin type fastener would be great. Like the bowl that catches the cuttings and the fact it has a lid if you want to store cuttings.

It works like advertised, especially on my pointer finger , after a trip to the doctor I continued to make dinner !

I love it. So easy to use because you just turn a dial instead of inserting blades, and takes up so little room. Do be sure to have a toothbrush to clean the blades as they are sharp enough to eat your sponge.

Easy to use!
I bought this and am very happy with it. Very easy to use. I use a brush (used for cleaning glasses) to clean it and it gets all the particles out of the cutting blades and otherwise hard to clean areas.

Zoodling my Little Heart Out
I bought this to make zucchini noodles, as my old tool bit the dust. I love the design, and the price was right. After watching several videos online, I started with a cucumber. I found it mashed it, and made some julienne cucumber "strips", not noodes, even on different settings. I then tried a delicata squash, and it worked ok. The only wish would be a nonslip base or suction cup. other than that it is pretty amazing!! Thanks for a great product.

The cutter is difficult to use. I should have waited longer and purchased a bigger easier to use cutter.

Do you have to use with storage container or will the cutter stand on its own? If you are making a great deal of spirals (potatoes) would seem difficult/timely to constantly have to empty storage container. Thanks.
A shopper on Sep 30, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This cutter can only be used with the storage container.
Does this just do the ribbons or does it come with attachments to make noodles?
Melissa K on Apr 4, 2016
BEST ANSWER: It does not make (flour) noodles. It cuts whole vegetables into ribbon or noodle-like shape. Hope that responds.
How do you take it apart to put it in the dishwasher?
A shopper on Jul 20, 2016
BEST ANSWER: There is only the one part you can actually remove to wash. The remaining cutter I just wash with a soapy sponge and rinse under the faucet in the sink. I don't put in dishwasher.
how do you use spiralizer with butternut squash??
A shopper on Jan 10, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Be sure the butternut squash is at room temperature before peeling. Only spirilize the neck which is solid. Scoop the seeds out of the bulb and bake this section in its skin. Or, peel, remove seeds and cube the bulb for a side dish.
Where is it made?
