Metal apple corer
I was surprised how easily it was to push through the apple -- like butter. Esp. good if you have weak hands or wrists. Easy to clean and can go into dishwasher also.

Best way to decorate with sliced apples

I'm playing with Wolfgang Puck Pressure Oven, which should cook a stuffed apple quickly. Now off to find some creative savory stuffing recipes -- beyond trail mix coated in honey!

diameter cored with this tool?
william J on Jun 4, 2015
BEST ANSWER: The diameter is 3/4th inch. I bought both this corer and the Casabella model (cored apple diameter 7/8ths inch), and I like the Casabella better than the Sur La Table model: The Sur La Table model does cut through apple more easily, but I have trouble getting it to cut along the desired path of the core. I've made a LOT of batches of baked apples since buying these corers (a batch of baked Honey Crisp apples is a great gift!), and while both models work, the Casabella model, which cuts a slightly larger core, works better for me.
