Got the large version of this flattened, porcelain serving bowl and have used it once. Nice and heavy, holds an entire wok-full of stir fry! Plain shape and white color makes it compatible with most casual dinner ware. Washed it by hand because of the size - anticipate it will be a much-used piece
I bought my first bowl in a Sur La Table store and was so pleased with it I ordered 2 more on line. My only complaint with the bowl was the finish on one of them wasn't quite right. The glaze had a run it. I'd like to purchase 3 more but I'll do that in store so I can examine them carefully.
Purchased this as a replacement for a Simon Pearce bowl that broke. We use multiple times a week, and it's a great size for us. Only caveat is that I bought it to fit a specific space over a fridge - and the advertised measurements are a bit off, it's more like 2.85" high, and the extra 1/8" makes a difference...
Simple, and timeless design. Durable and versatile. And my go-to bowl for salads, especially store-bought salads or prepared foods when you don't feel like eating out of the plastic container. Brings a little elegance and homey feel to even rushed meals
These bowls were purchased in 2013. I bought 6 and have only 3 left. They didn't break either.... my grown kids that moved out liked them too, so I suspect they may have found their way into other homes. I just purchased 3 more to replace them. These are favorites for spaghetti, salads, and any food that tends to slip off the plate. They are a plate with a wall to contain your food. Also great for serving.
Can you please list the dimensions and capacities of each bowl?

Best Answer:The 9"" bowl has a 9"" diameter, a 2"" depth and holds 1.5 quarts of water.The 12"" bowl has a 12"" diameter, a 2 1/2"" depth and holds 3 quarts of water.The 14"" bowl has a 14"" diameter, a 2 3/4"" depth and holds 4 quarts of water
Best Answer:I've not tried it but, I don't see why not. It would indeed be very 'deep dish' though. A regular pie plate (what I use for quiche) is just under 1.5" deep and these are fully 2". Hope that helps.
