Great serving bowl
Got the large version of this flattened, porcelain serving bowl and have used it once. Nice and heavy, holds an entire wok-full of stir fry! Plain shape and white color makes it compatible with most casual dinner ware. Washed it by hand because of the size - anticipate it will be a much-used piece

I bought my first bowl in a Sur La Table store and was so pleased with it I ordered 2 more on line. My only complaint with the bowl was the finish on one of them wasn't quite right. The glaze had a run it. I'd like to purchase 3 more but I'll do that in store so I can examine them carefully.

Salad buddy
Simple, and timeless design. Durable and versatile. And my go-to bowl for salads, especially store-bought salads or prepared foods when you don't feel like eating out of the plastic container. Brings a little elegance and homey feel to even rushed meals

Simple, functional favorites
These bowls were purchased in 2013. I bought 6 and have only 3 left. They didn't break either.... my grown kids that moved out liked them too, so I suspect they may have found their way into other homes. I just purchased 3 more to replace them. These are favorites for spaghetti, salads, and any food that tends to slip off the plate. They are a plate with a wall to contain your food. Also great for serving.

Great serving/salad bowl
Purchased this as a replacement for a Simon Pearce bowl that broke. We use multiple times a week, and it's a great size for us. Only caveat is that I bought it to fit a specific space over a fridge - and the advertised measurements are a bit off, it's more like 2.85" high, and the extra 1/8" makes a difference...

Very versatile and a great value
I bought 4 of the 9 inch a few years back. I'm going to buy 5 more since I broke one. These plates are wonderful! As a previous reviewer noted, they are great for salads, pastas, stir frys, etc. I also use them to hold prepped food and resting meat. The white makes the pasta look beautiful as do the salads. The lip is high enough to hold food in place without being too deep. definitely a value purchase.

To have pasta or salad without it dripping off the plate.

They hold just the perfect amount of food for large individual salads, or pasta/rice entrees w/ sauce/meat.
Linda M on May 30, 2015
Love the bowl as a plate. Slippery food doesn't slide off, and sauce stays on the food/bowl and not on the floor. Replacing 3 bowls that walked away. Others like them too!

Could these serving bowls also be used to bake quiche or deep dish pie?
Robert W on Jan 29, 2015
Best Answer: I've not tried it but, I don't see why not. It would indeed be very 'deep dish' though. A regular pie plate (what I use for quiche) is just under 1.5" deep and these are fully 2". Hope that helps.
