As I am marrying into an Italian family, I wanted to have a bit of heritage around the house. When I saw this kitchen towel at the Burlington MA store, it stood out with the vibrant colors. I was hesitant to use it as an actual towel, and a year later, after renovating our kitchen, I framed it and hung it on the wall. I get so many compliments on it! LOVE!
My husband was Italian (passed away). His name was Joseph (Guieseppe) in Italian; got these for my kids. I hope you keep them in stock as I do want to order more in the very near future. Love this link; plan to shop more. Noticed this was on my daughter's registry as well; one is for her!
In my kitchen, I tend to stick with blue and white for kitchen towels. While this particular towel introduces other colors, and a real picture instead of an abstract pattern, it's pasta...and pasta means Italy. Italy, of course, is another word for happiness.
it is going into a gift basket I am making for a friend which will include a jar of my homemade tomatoe sauce, with a hand written recipe attached, pasta, parmesan reggiano, a collander, micro plane. olive oil and a bagette. My friend is single and has almost nothing for his kitchen. I know he will enjoy it and that pasta towel is too cute!
