Love the various temp settings
I was hesitant to purchase- I had read many conflicting reviews on these type of kettles. I can now say- those concerns are gone. Love this one- it has a great design for a small footprint on the counter. All the settings are on the handle. the only drawback is the width of the handle is wide even for my larger hand size. When the kettle is full I need to balance it with the other hand. Th heat settings all work great. I love the muted bell tone when the water is ready- no glaring buzzing to disrupt the peace. If you miss it - just look at the unit it is no longer blinking once it reaches the desired temp. The water level fill window is easy to see. Overall great design!!!

Perfict Tea Everytime
Being British in America can have its problems. Mainly due to the lack of good tea making abilities. This ingenious product fixes all of that by giving you the perfect temperature every time for what ever hot beverage you request and without the the problem of burnt bitter mistakes.

It comes with 6 settings Delicate, Green, White, Oolong, French press, and Boil/Coffee. with an automatic keep warm feature that lasts up to 30 min. The seems and filters are well made and the clean lines are nice. It even signals to let you know when its ready for you to pour with a single beep!

Given the system I think its a bit of a minor reach for the price but its well worth it in the end.

There only thing missing from this kettle is a basket option for loose tea/coffee, so it could make a huge pot of tea/coffee and a set alarm to tell it to heat water in the morning. There are Kettles out there that do that sort of thing but are about 4X the price. So save yourself from overspending on minor gimmicks and go for it

I love this product!
I was replacing a leaky electric kettle that was used everyday and was half the price of this one. I was reluctant to spend the extra money for this one, but I was willing to spring for it based on the excellent features and the stellar reviews. This tea kettle does not disappoint!

I love the ability to choose the temperature settings since I do drink many varieties of tea. But I especially love the keep warm setting and the beeper since I have a tendency to forget that I have turned the device on! The sleekness of the design...especially for a small kitchen is also a welcome feature.

In the end, the extra features are well worth the extra cost! I just hope this one lasts longer than my previous one and doesn't leak

The heat caused the lid to warp
This is a very durable kettle, and we have had several. The quality of Cuisinart is well known and this kettle doesn't disappoint. That said, they all wear out and on ours the lid warped and we could no longer open it. I wish they sold a replacement lid

It even goes on road trips!
Love this tea kettle! The only thing wrong with it is that it probably won't last forever! :o)

Nice features
This is the first time I've purchased an electric kettle. I'm a big tea drinker and liked that it had different settings for green tea, etc. It's easy to use, and it's looks very nice. So far, I'm happy with the purchase.

The filter that is inside - is for making loose tea?

Can I put water and loose tea inside the kettle and is the filter effective in that regard? Or is the filter for something else and I should only put water in the kettle?
A shopper on Mar 25, 2013
Best Answer: No. the filter is for the water- you do not add tea directly into this unit- you just boil the water to the correct temperature for the tea leaves you wish to steep.

Does it show fingerprints and stains?

Does this show fingerprints and other marks the way so many large ss appliances do? I saw some ss electric kettles in a store (not SLT and not this kettle) the other day and they all looked terrible. I don't want to have to keep after it with stainless polish.
A shopper on Apr 10, 2014
Best Answer: This is made of brushed stainless steel, so the chances of it showing fingerprints are slim. It shouldn't stain

What shut off temperatures are there?

Can the temperature setting be changed to turn off at approximately 200 degrees, the temp at which water boils at high elevations
LLAA on Jul 4, 2014
Best Answer: There isn't a shut off temperature, but rather a shut off time. It will shut off after 2 minutes off of the power base.It does however have 6 preset temperatures & will stop heating once it reaches the selected temp
