LOVE THESE!
Get these if you love poach eggs and get frustrated with making them for crowds. Spray them with a non-stick cooking spray for the best results! Feeling especially sinful? Add butter on top of the spray for sinfully delicious results!

The Greatest!
I love these little things for a lot of reasons. First of all, they're so easy to use. I just put a little olive oil in the pod before the egg, and the egg slips out easily when it's done. Yet the pod is NOT so slippery that the egg falls out before you want it to, and ends up on the floor. It holds the egg in place until I run a butter knife around the edge of the cooked egg, and then it slides right out. To pull them out of the water, I use a a long fork (the kind you use to hold a roast in place while you carve it). I put one of the tines of the fork into one of the little holes in the pod and pull it out of the water. Then it's easy to hang the pod off the fork to drain any water that has collected in it. You could also use a large spoon to lift it out

Apart from that, they're inexpensive, weigh nothing, take up no room at all, and come in beautiful colors! Not only are they adorable, they're a pleasure to use, and one of the best gadgets I've ever bought

Perfect Poached Eggs!
I have struggled with many methods of making poached eggs (swirling the water, vinegar or not, the list goes on and on...) and these give me perfectly cooked eggs, every. single. time.

I give them a little spray with PAM (learned the first time they are not non-stick), so the eggs slide right out, and then put them in together (all 4). About 4-5 minutes later, I've got eggs that have *just* the right amount of runny-ness and I couldnt be happier.

I just need a bigger pot and more egg cups so I can make breakfast for everyone at the same time

Perfect every time!
You cannot go wrong with these odd looking little gems. Best poached eggs ever!!

A friend shared them with me, so I shared them with my daughter... Eggs on toast is the easiest & most delicious dinner for a college student!

Don't forget the oil - perfect every time

Where have you been all my life?
Best invention ever! Works perfect from the first time! Make sure you use cooking spray and follow the directions. Buy these for your friends - they will love you! Get the little spoon sold seperately - it is worth it! The egg pops right out in a perfect little sphere and the clean up is a breeze! Highly recommend!

Had to have more!
I purchased a pair of these a few years back, and love them. A while back, I had a brief recuperation period following an illness and was relying on my husband for meals. I ordered two more poachers and the lifter on-line. Thanks to the great folks at Sur La Table, the products arrived much sooner than expected.
It was so easy for my husband to use the poachers and serve me my favorite breakfast in bed. The lifter makes it so much easier and safer to place and remove the poachers from the scalding hot water. (I think my husband, who doesn't usually like eggs in any form but scrambled, is changing his opinion.

Most eggselent product! I love them and use them every day. Cannot wait for overnight guests to show off my new poachers!

These make poaching legal
What a great product. Can't believe I had to wait until now to poach eggs on a regular basis. And they have multiple uses. Alton Brown would be proud of me.

I have a very old 4-cup egg poacher. We always have to clean it and do eggs in shifts. I have heard that the Silicon cups are great, easily cleaned, and they will store much more compactly than the pan.

I have always poached eggs by dropping them in while cooking instant noodles; this results in wispy egg whites. But I wanted to try to poach eggs in a clean way for the first time.

Can you poach two eggs in one silicone poachpod?
A shopper on Apr 25, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The easiest way we’ve found to poach eggs. Flexible nonstick Poachpods float on simmering water while eggs cook. When they’re ready, just flip the pod for a perfectly shaped poached egg every time. Set includes light green and dark green pods. Microwave and dishwasher safe. Heat-safe to 675°F. 3" x 1½". Set of two. Each pod is perfectly sized to cook one egg, two would be too much
cooking time

How long do you cook the eggs in these?
A shopper on Sep 28, 2013
BEST ANSWER: The same as any poached eggs. About three minutes is my perfect egg.
Can these be used to poach eggs in the microwave???
Michelle B on Dec 30, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I know that the silicone is microwave safe but I have only used them in water on the stovetop.
Do you poach 1 egg in ""1"" po

or must you use both pods for 1 egg as shown in picture?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2011

This is actually one pod for one egg. The photo is just showing that two come in a colored set.
Would putting a lid on the pot of slowly simmering water speed up the poaching of the egg? Or would it ruin the egg?
Ria R on Feb 13, 2016
BEST ANSWER: I always put a lid on when poaching eggs using these pods. I cook 5-6 minutes for a runny yoke
