Pierre Dubost and his wife, Marcelle Colas Prodel, created the Dubost company in 1920. Four generations later the Dubost family continues to make exceptionally crafted, iconic flatware and cutlery in the mountain village of Viscomtat, France.
I purchased this simple, beautiful flatware about a year ago, and absolutely love it. The olivewood is gorgeous, and holds up wonderfully well to heavy daily use. I use this flatware with the Pillivuyt Brasserie table settings for a very charming (but not cloying) bistro look. The only downside to these is that the teaspoon is a little small. Otherwise, a fantastic choice
Does this style come in a larger package, for a service of 4 or 6 for example
I already have this pattern and I believe I got 2 or 3 boxes for my original set of 12. It was a larger box that I now use in my drawer to hold the set.

Best Answer:This is a very good question. On certain products, the ability to mark them down depends partly on the supplier. On high quality, easlily stockable and popular items that sell steadily... I can only guess SLT might not wish to narrow their profit margin on certain flatware items... I own four place settings of this item myself... so can attest to the quality piece....but not the other pieces that make up a retailers decision to discount. For my dollar they were worth it, and I will buy more when I can. Hope that helps to answer your question! I think you should do a comparison shop and see what you find. Be an educated shopper! ;~) fleur~
I was in your store today admiring this flatware collection. I asked the sales rep if this flatware was dishwasher safe, and was advised, no, best to hand wash due to the olive wood. This is contrary to the description that indicates flatware IS dishwasher safe. Which is it??
