Great pizza peel
It's light but durable and easy to clean. If you've never used a pizza peel before, search YouTube for quick instructions. My first pizza was a mess because I didn't realize that, even with a lot of cornmeal, pizza will stick to the peel if you take too long to make it. Using a little bit of parchment and the right technique for getting the pizza off the peel and on to the pizza stone, I did much better with my second pie

Easy to clean.
I replaced my wooden peel with the Epicurean a few months ago. It is easy to clean with dish soap making it spotless and sanitary. Very pleased.

multipurpose peel
I purchased this after taking a pizza on the grille class. The instructor suggested that when she purchases something it has to have several uses, so this product works in several ways: pizza peel, cutting board, serving tray! Its lightweight and can go in the dishwasher. I have only used it a few times so far but hopefully it will last well. Extra bonus, Made in America

Nice but flat handle is not very comfortable
I like this pizza peel, but I wish that it had a more comfortable handle. The edges on the flat handle are a bit sharp. I would probably get one with a more rounded handle next time. I do like the Epicurean cutting board material, because I can cut the pizza right on the peel

On registry and although not what I consider a practical gift, it was something they wanted, I think they'll use it and the price help add to the total I wanted to spend.

It says "Heat resistant to 350 F". If so, will it take the heat when it goes inside a 500 F oven for sliding the pizza in and out?
ChtVA on Oct 30, 2014
Best Answer: Yes, it can withstand 500° for inserting or removing a pizza, but should be exposed to that temperature for very long.

Can this peel be used on the grill?
A shopper on Jan 27, 2015
Best Answer: Depends on what you mean by using on the grill. You can probably use it to peel stuff off your grill but it's not designed to sit on top of your grill if that's what you're asking.

Can this pizza peel be used to place a pizza on the grill as well as remove the pizza from the grill?
A shopper on Jan 27, 2015
Best Answer: I don't think this particular peel is supposed to be heat resistant for the high temps of the petite pizzeria, but we have used it several times to remove the pizza from the pizza stone and it has not marked, burned, melted, etc. Also, we like that this peel is big enough to cut and serve the pizza on.
