Not as Pictured
This chocolate chipper is not as pictured. The actual item came with a pot-metal x-shaped bar between the wooden handle and the chipper head (not the cylindrical connecting shaft as shown). I have used these x-bar chippers before (ordered from other sources), and find that the head breaks off fairly easily where it connects to the wooden handle. I ordered this chipper hoping for a higher quality item, but find that it is not as pictured, and no different than the lower-priced chippers I have broken before. To Sur la Table's credit, they were very responsive, and issued me a full credit for the item with no hassles. The misleading picture remains, however, on the website

I make an Italian unleavened desert on St. Lucy's day, and I need to chip chocolate. It is called Cuccia. My grandmother used to make it, and I carry on the tradition.
