Demeyere® Industry5 Covered Sauté Pans

  • $249.95 - $299.95
  • Value: $300.00
Exclusive Demeyere’s superior technical approach to producing the most advanced clad cookware available has made them a cult favorite with our staff and customers for years. The unmatched quality, sleek design, and highly engineered and tested construction ensure each and every piece of Demeyere cookware is crafted to perform beautifully and last a lifetime.

Our exclusive new Industry5 cookware collection is the culmination of a two-year collaboration between Demeyere and Sur La Table to produce the most innovative clad-metal cookware on the market. Designed to exceed the exacting standards of both professional and home cooks, Industry5 cookware boasts a five-ply 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum-alloy core for fast and even heat distribution. The interior is nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel for easy cleanup, and the gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior is magnetic, which ensures exceptional performance on any heat source—including induction.

Each pan also features a pouring rim to prevent spills and a tight-fitting lid to lock in cooking aromas and flavors. The superior base stability of Industry5 cookware guarantees the bottom of the pan remains almost perfectly flat when heated, even to higher temperatures. Oils and other liquids will evenly coat the bottom of the pan and never pool on the sides for even cooking results time after time.

Each piece of cookware features Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish—a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities from the surface, the main causes of discoloration over time. The stainless steel exterior remains silvery white, even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration from fingerprints and heat, even when subjected to temperatures over 500°F.

The oversized stay-cool cast stainless steel handles are shot-blasted to ensure a secure grip, and make transporting a hot pan to and from the oven or stovetop easy even while wearing oven mitts. Each handle is welded directly to the pan, making it significantly more durable and hygienic than a traditional riveted handle. Food, grease and dirt will never accumulate inside the pan, so cleanup is a breeze.

Suitable for use on all cooktops, in the oven up to 600°F, and under the broiler. Dishwasher safe (hand wash recommended). Made in Belgium.

DURABLE CLAD-METAL CONSTRUCTION
All Industry5 cookware features a 5-ply, 3mm-thick aluminum and aluminum alloy core for fast and even heat distribution, a nonreactive 18/10 stainless steel interior for easy cleanup, and a gleaming 18/10 stainless steel exterior with magnetic properties for exceptional performance on any heat source, including induction.

SUPERIOR BASE STABILITY
Each piece of Industry5 cookware has a perfectly flat base that stays perfectly flat when heated, even under high temperatures. This is a marked advantage over other cookware that tends to have a more pronounced base expansion as it heats, which causes liquids to pool around the edge. In our Industry5 pan, oil evenly coats the entire surface for great results time after time.

SILVINOX FINISH
Demeyere’s proprietary Silvinox finish is a unique system of electrochemical surface treatments that removes iron and impurities, the main causes of discoloration over time, from the pan surfaces. Thanks to the innovative Silvinox treatment, the stainless steel exterior remains silvery white even after many years of use. It also resists discoloration, even under temperatures over 500°F, and is more resistant to fingerprints.

WELDED STAY-COOL HANDLES
Large, shot-blasted 18/10 stainless steel handles are welded directly to each pan, not attached with screws or rivets. Industry5’s stay-cool, welded handles are more durable and more hygienic, preventing food and grease from accumulating. The shot-blasted stainless steel construction provides a firm, comfortable grip even while wearing oven mitts. The Silvinox finish also provides superior scratch-resistance over time.

Best pan I have ever purchased
I always wondered if a more expensive higher quality pan was worth the extra cost. I can't believe I waited this long to find out. This pan is well worth it. It heats so evenly and quickly like I have never experienced. The stay cool handle with the textured grip made handling this pan a breeze. Clean up could not have been easier, the rivet free interior of the cooking surface means no goop or residue from cooking....ever. And that's not it- the instructions come with a guide to cooking with no extra fat! Can't wait to try that too. Do yourself a favor and get this pan

"After using this, I want the whole set."
I bought the Industry 5 introductory priced saute pan because I coveted the prior model of Demeyere's conical saucier (part sauce pan, part large bottomed wok) after moving from gas to electric. But I didn't buy that pan because it was $200 more than my stretch budget and cost more than all my other pans put together. Given that those pans have lasted 15 years, why would I drop a huge chunk of change on Demeyere, even if they had the design I wanted? What I have is good enough, right? Wrong. I may as well be cooking in gourds.

The D-I5 pan cooks brilliantly: flat bottomed with even heat distribution. It clean wonderfully, which is even better. I refuse out of hand any pans with internal rivets, so that was already working in their favor. I had paid insufficient attention to the ""Silvinox"" aspect before purchase and was pleasantly surprised. This pan was notably more silver after use than my other stainless, which is now quite discolored. It's a better non-stick pan than the pans with teflon non-stick coatings, and doesn't offgas at high temperatures. (The materials science geek in me loves this.)

It's also stupidly easy to clean. I have maybe put it through the dishwasher once because by the time I was done rinsing it, it was almost clean anyway. After use, I just squirt a couple tablespoons of water in it, deglaze it over the sink, rinse to cool it off, then give it a quick swipe with a sponge, and final rinse. It cleans fast and rinses clean. Anything even a little sticky comes off with this method or with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser.

I ruined 3 batches of homemade caramel *in a row* in this pan, was able to remove it to start over, and it still looks new. (4th time was the charm. It was not the pan's fault I didn't have the necessary cream on hand and kept adding substitute ingredients that scorched or seized. The dry sugar browned perfectly every time, *then* I ruined it.)

I now make up excuses to use this pan when I formerly would have used a wok or saucepan or non-stick skillet. I have asked Santa for a set for Christmas. We'll see how flush he's feeling, but what I don't get I'll save up for. These pans really are worth the money, if you have any disposable income whatsoever and like to cook. They're smartly designed and expertly executed. The engineer in me and the cook in me are both beyond satisfied

Simply the best
This saute pan is simply the best out there in terms of quality, value, and ease of use. But my favorite part? There's no rivets connecting the handle to the pan itself! What does that mean? It's stupidly easy to clean - gunk won't get stuck up in there, and it's a breeze to wipe out. Seriously, this pan cleans up like a dream and is always shining bright.

Even more - the lid fits crazy tightly, and the 5-ply construction means it'll heat up evenly, quickly, and eliminate hot spots.

Without a doubt, this is my favorite go-to pan in my cooking arsenal

Great pan
I was only planning to buy a larger (and cheaper) saute pan, but the smaller size of this one makes it easier to handle when I'm not cooking large dishes. The shape and nice lid make this saute pan better than my skillets for most of the things I cook. I love the handles -- the style, the feel, the way they stay pretty cool (at least on an induction hob). Not all pans this size have the ""assist"" handle, but that feature makes it easier for my wife to use, and the shot blast finish makes for a secure grip

Demeyere 3Quart Saute Pan
I just received my Saute Pan in the mail. All potential buyers should be advised that the 3 Quart Saute Pan is actually a 2.6 Quart capacity. I believe Sur La Table should have advertised the pan as a 2 1/2 Quart Saute Pan, rather than a 3 Quart. The difference makes this pan more amenable to the solo cook, but still should prove useful for certain dishes serving 2-3 persons

This pan is smaller than advertised
I just received the Demeyere? Industry5 Covered Sau? Pan, 3 qt. after being backorderd for a month. The manufactuer's packaging clearly indicates the dimensions of the pan in multiple languages with labels both on the outside of the box and on the pan itself.
24cm/9.4"" in diameter, with a capacity of 2.5 Liter / 2.6 Quart. I guess Sur La Table is rounding up in its adverts. I also measured the capacity myself by adding liquid from my 2Qt. Pryex measuring cup to the pan. 2.5 qt is absolutely the usable capacity. I will repost after I use the pan to evaluate how it cooks. Cannot recommend yet

Absolutely great all round!
I've been shopping around for a good Saut? pan for a while and bought this when I read about its build features. Since then, this has been one of my favorites. No matter what you've been cooking, it is always an ease to clean and the pan looks just as new after. Browns beautifully.

While the pan may be somewhat on the heavy side for some, handles stay cool and the shot-blasted finish gives a firm handle. Love the no-spill pouring room too. I'll be looking at a Demeyere saucepan next

I hope they will expand to other sizes
I love this saute pan but it's really only good for cooking for 2-3. You can't brown a whole chicken in it without crowding, which just means you have to work in batches. But the value is unbeatable, and the marketing is genius. I've wanted a good saute pan forever but couldn't justify the cost of All Clad or Demeyere. Sur La Table made this totally accessible for someone like me...and now, I'm hooked. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE a 4qt or 6 qt version. Hope they plan to expand the line. Get this pan before they raise the price

Awesome on Induction
This is my fastest-heating pan on my Miele induction cooktop. I have many high end pans, but took the opportunity to get a value-priced DeMeyere, and am very pleased. I agree with all the positive comments, but wanted to specifically mention that this pan is truly the best on my induction cooktop

Excellent essential in my kitchen.
I have wanting a saut? pan for a while now and wanted a 3qt size. I have a small family and it cooks dinner well for our quantity. I would suggest doing your food in batches if you have a larger family of a larger pan.
I don't know where to begin, I just love this pan! It's not the fanciest looking one but it keeps it's beautiful sheen and is super easy to clean after use. I soak it for about 5 or so minutes and use a sponge to clean what ever is left off.
The actual cooking with this is wonderful too as the heat is dispersed evenly and cooks so well!
I love the larger sized handles. They are easy to use with mitts or potholders.
I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a new saut? pan. Yes it's a little pricey but will last for many many years.
Also I use it almost every day. Enjoy

Best pan!
I own various pieces of other high end cookware. I can tell you this pan is the BEST.
I have never been so impressed.
Buy it, buy two!
It behaves as a non-stick pan. The handles really do stay cool. Sears so evenly..no high or low spots, cleans up like a breeze.
Seriously...run and get one..I'm getting another

Simply the Best
Have used the 3qt saut? pan and 9"" fry pan for several weeks now. They are easily the best cookware I have ever used. They are a little on the heavy side, look like artwork and cook extremely evenly. Learn the leidenfrost point(see on YouTube) and meat will not stick. After reaching the leidenfrost point turn the heat source to about half that level and cook from there. I have not used any oil or sprays for anything and a little deglazing at the end of cooking is all you need. Silvinox finish looks classic. Buy them

debOMB
First high end cookware product I ever owned and proves worth every penny. Just tall enough to deep fry ATK fried chicken and perfect for general sauteing of all my fishies. Haven't thrown it in the oven yet, but sure am willing to try over my lodges. So easy to clean 2

"Demeyere 10"" or 3qt. Straight Sided Saute/Fry Pan"
Love my new pan! So does my husband! He keeps using it when I want to use it. I like that it is so sturdy and apparantly so does my husband. I think he feels it is a manly pan:) We use it on our gas range and in our oven and it cleans up so easliy. I feel it is so attractive that I can serve the entree right from the pan.

The perfect pan
I've had the saut? pan for a couple of weeks and have used it 4 times. It sits perfectly flat on the stove and cleans beautifully. Love the pan, can't wait to get more

Quality Cookware
The Demeyere Industry5 Covered Saute Pan is well constructed, excellently finished, and built for a lifetime of service. The weight of the pan and layered construction means even heating and good heat retention. The handle is long providing good leverage for the pan's weight but it can be a little cumbersome on a crowded cooktop or when hand washing (recommended). The matching top fits nicely. This pan is a beautiful and functional addition to my cookware

Suprisingly Easy
Me personally, I don't like stainless steel. I'm a nonstick kinda girl. I never would've bought this for myself, but since I got it for free, there was no way I WASN'T going to try it. And I'm really glad I did. The base is perfectly flat and stable-very important on a flat top stove. The even cooking is incredible and it was way easier to clean than I thought it would be. All in all, I'm really glad I own this saut? pan

OK really, but not sure of the vaue
I have the smaller pan. Nothing wrong with it really. But I keep finding myself going back to my basic, simple cast iron pan. Heats better, more evenly, goes from stove top to oven, etc. Not to mention much less expensive.

Handles are too rough
It's definetely made of great quality and it shows in the weight. I also like the fact that is made in Belgium (not China!). However, I dislike that handles are too rough to handle without an oven mitt.
I have All Clad - Calphalon - Le Crueset and even Lodge. They all have smooth surface handles
