A little goes a long way and it won't add any coffee flavor at all. But what it does do is brings out more of the chocolate flavor. Think of it as an inexpensive way to boost and enhance your chocolate creations. This product is a ""must add"" to any thing I bake that is chocolate

Instant Espresso Powder
Taste's great, easy to use.

If you're into protein shakes, this is a great (no calorie) addition to banana/PB/chocolate concoctions!

Why did you choose this?
Sur La Table Store
I need to make espresso cookies for a wedding and & "instant" espresso powder is an ingredient I need. I want to make a batch well before the wedding to see if espresso powder will make a difference. I searched the web, and King Arthur espresso powder was the cheapest. I mean, I don't want to spend a fortune if it's not going to work out.

No. 1, the brand. King Arthur is a winner. No. 2, this is a must have staple in my kitchen for baking chocolate desserts and tiramisu's.

What is the best way to store this espresso powder?

I don't expect to use it too often, but do not want it to spoil. Can/should it be stored in the freezer

Best Answer: A must for baking with chocolate, espresso powder enhances chocolate’s flavor without adding its own coffee flavor. Specially selected coffee beans are ground, brewed, dried and ground into a powder that quickly dissolves for easy mixing.

It is recommended that you store this product in a cool, dry spot preferrable in an airtight container. I would not recommend the freezer as condensation can accumulate when it is thawed out and that moisture can compromise the quality of the product.
