What An Amazing Toaster...
First of all, that is not plastic you see. It is real brushed metal. The motorized function is super silent and smooth. Artisan bread fits very easily and the shade control is spot on. I have had the comparable Breville model and the Cruisinart comes out on top easily. All the controls of the Cruisinart are on the end which makes for easy placement where the Breville limits you a lot. Great value from the top brand

Beautiful Toaster
This toaster is stunning. Love everything about it: the auto lowering of bread, movement of inner 'cage' to keep bread centered, countdown, the lighter/darker selections, and defrost and toast feature for frozen breads. I've toasted everything in it -- from thick bagels, frozen waffles, to super thin diet breads -- amazing. The brushed metal exterior is so pretty and looks great on my counter. Very happy, it's the perfect toaster
