pasta insert does not fit pot it sits in
I thought I would love this piece but the pasta insert is not long enough for the pot. I would have to fill the entire pot with water to cook pasta. All clad does sell one just like this at williams sonoma for $10 more that does fill the entire pot which means I only have to fill the pot with as much water as it takes to cook pasta and not 4 inches more water that isn't used. I will be returning the pot I bought at sur la table and buying the other one at Williams sonoma. Not sure why they are different.

Helps me cook like a professional chef!
I love my All-Clad Stainless Steel Multi-Cooker! I can make a big dish of lasagna for company and the pasta tastes wonderful. In my old 8 quart stock pot with pasta insert, my pasta noodles were crowded and ended up tasting starchy. Now, there's plenty of room for them to fully cook and my lasagna tastes wonderful. I feel like a professional chef and my lasagna tastes like it too! The pot is easy to use and clean. I love it

Fall is our Multi-Cooker Season
It's the time of year when we make large batches of stews, soups and pastas; for entertaining both at home and to take to friends' parties - I find the ample handles make it easy to carry. The inserts are not just for cooking pasta and steaming greens, they are also useful for hardy root vegetables and potatoes. It's a reliable and inexpensive pot that serves us very well indeed

Great cookware!
This is a great set of cookware. Perfect for pastas, steaming veggies and making large quantities of soups/stews. As with other All-Clad products, very well constructed. Steaming insert fits perfectly and lid fits great as well. I purchased it on sale and with free shipping it was a great value

Great product!
I love this product! It is perfect for making stocks, crab boils, pasta, etc. I usually use some pasta water in my sauces so I like having some extra in the bottom of the pan, unlike a previous review. I also love how easy it is to clean. I had some stock boil over and down the sides of the pan and I still had several hours to go before I was finished. It cleaned up like a dream

Great Multi-Cooker - know what you are buying
This is a great all-purpose stock/pasta/lobster/corn on the cob pot. I have used it for so many different meals. The quality is great and price can't be beat. It is made in China so that explains the lower price, but for the purpose, the quality is absolutely on par and All-Clad still stands behind it. Nice thick bottom that helps boil water very quickly even in such a large pot. Easy to clean and nice to look at

Must have piece for the kitchen
I searched awhile to find the perfect stockpot that would fit my needs and this is it. I use this for so many things- steaming artichokes, making stock and sauces, pasta etc. The steamer insert is a great addition to the stock pot and like the other reviewer, I also like using some pasta water in my sauce so simply removing the steamer insert with the pasta is a breeze. It also washes up beautifully.

Is this the All-Clad pasta pot that is used in the Sur La Table video on Craftsy? That would be the "Cooking Mistakes" course with Joel Gamoran. Specifically, lesson 4 "When Pasta Goes Wrong".
