I use my Chef Knife nearly every day. It's amazing how one knife has made work in the kitchen so much easier! Chopping and dicing is a breeze with a good quality knife. It's beautifully made, stays sharp, and feels really good in my hand

Fabulous knife!
I first held this knife in the Sur la Table knife skills class. It just fit my hand. I've used it for over a year now, and love it. It stays sharp, with a quick run along my steel, and cuts everything I've asked it to do

"My ""Go-To"" knife!"
I have 23 knives in my collection and this one has just risen to the top of the list. The blade stays sharp with just a few brushes of my steel and the shorter blade makes it so much more versatile than my 8"" and 10"" chef knives. It's like the roadster of knives...quick, zippy and agile

What is the angle on the wusthof knives?

I see some say PTec. What is the difference?
A shopper on Dec 6, 2011
Best Answer: Wusthoff Knives have a 20 degree angle.New PEtec Preceision Edge technology offers superior sharpness. The technology:The blades are measured by laser before sharpening.Computer programmes calculate the precise sharpening angle for each blade. The knives are then sharpened on a whetstone using precision robots. Finally, the knives are given a final polish using a special disc. The benefits:Extremely high initial cutting performance.Exceptionally long edge retention / long service life of blade.Optimum cutting edge along the entire length of the blade.Unique, consistently high and reproducible quality

How much wider are the 8-inch and 10-inch "wide" chefs than the regular Classic chef's? Could you list the dimensions of each to compare?
Nate O on Feb 4, 2015
Best Answer: The Classic wide blades are 1/4" wider than the Classic blades. Classics are 8-10" long & 1 3/4" wide. Classic wides are 8-10" long & 2" wide.
