Great for Individual Dishes
I used these for individual lasagnas. Just the right size for individual meals. A smaller size would have required another side dish. I also served a small side salad and everyone was happy. Clean up was a breeze and storage is easy.

I took dessert class with Sur La Table because it included Gran Manier Souffle on the menu. That dessert is one my father always talked ordering years ago but not something he has seen on menus in local French Restaurants. I want to be able to make the dish for my Dad's birthday so the souffle dishes are required.

I like being able to serve each guest his or her own miniature dish of various things. I have smaller ramekins, and creme brulee dishes, but needed a slightly larger size, and SLT was offering a special discount.

What size is best for a chocolate souffle? I just took the Chocolate class with Chef Jane at Raleigh/Durham. I don't know what size to purchase, as you offer 8 oz, 10 oz and 18 oz.
D. S on Oct 16, 2014
BEST ANSWER: The Sur La Table cooking class recipe on our website calls for 8 6oz ramekins.
What are the dimensions of the 10 oz & 18 oz.
A shopper on Jan 23, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Please your family and guests by serving individual chocolate or marmalade soufflés as dinner’s finale. These 4" round, ribbed soufflé dishes are equally useful for savories. Made of porcelain, they are safe for the dishwasher, microwave and oven up to 450°F.

The dimensions of the 10 oz souffle dish are 4" diameter X 3.5" deep.
The dimensions of the 18 oz souffle dish are 5" diameter X 3" deep.
what are the dimensions of the 8 oz?
A shopper on Jan 17, 2013
BEST ANSWER: This souffle dish is 3 1/2"" in diameter and 2 1/2"" deep
I'm making individual lasagnas. What would be the best size? 10 oz or 18 oz?
Deborah R on Dec 29, 2015
BEST ANSWER: We use the 10 oz to serve onion soup gratinee which works very well as for using the 10 or 18 oz , my first thought would be to use a dish that was not so tall, something with more surface area . If the 18oz has a wider diameter and the same or slightly shorter in height then I would choose the 18 oz. hope this helps and happy cooking.
Where are these souffle dishes made?
A shopper on Jan 2, 2014
BEST ANSWER: This souffle dish is made in China.
Would the 10" be good to make chicken pot pies in??
Sandy G on Feb 23, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I think it would be a great vessel for the pot pies. What I love about these ramekins is the depth. Quite deep, which should fit a nice amount of filling.
Can the ramekins be placed in the freezer?
Anita S on Feb 18, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely, I've done it. I have a chocolate souffle recipe that requires freezing the batter in the dishes and then putting it right in the oven. They work great.
What is a good size ramekin for popovers?

Which size ramekin for popovers?

BEST ANSWER: Go with a 6 to 8oz.
Are they freezer safe?
A shopper on Oct 4, 2013
BEST ANSWER: Yes, these are freezer safe

A shopper on Jan 9, 2011
BEST ANSWER: The smaller ramekin holds 10 oz and the larger has an 18 oz capacity.
