I have actually owned this for about five years, but am just now writing a review. I really love my Kuhn Rikon pressure cooker. I am always thinking of ways to incorporate it into my cooking/meal prep. It is an enormous time saver. I typically saut� aromatics like onions or shallots, then add a veggie such as kale or greens, then voila, they are done in mere minutes, try 3 to be exact. Or, how about brown rice? Gone are the days of taking 50-60 minutes for rice. Try 22 in my pressure cooker. Makes the best beans ever from dried to done in 15 minutes. The metal is thick and cooks evenly. The lid is secure and the gauge system is easy to understand. It keeps great pressure due to the thickness of the metal, I imagine. I have had to replace the rubber gasket once, but that is not bad considering. Wonderful product that I wish more people had in their cooking tool kit. But, here in the US, we just are not as familiar with these pressure cookers. But, hopefully this review will help encourage people to purchase one
I have never tried a pressure cooker before having been concerned about safety issues. This pressure cooker puts those fears to rest and it makes great, tender and juicy foods. I've used it for meats that normally take a long time to cook. They come out perfect every time. The size is just right for small meals for my husband and I.
I absolutely LOVE the pressure cooker! It is my "fast food" go to as I can't seem to get it together in the morning and use a slow cooker. At night, I can throw almost anything in the pressure cooker and have something on the table in a few minutes. Kuhn Rikon is the best brand too
I am planning on buying a pressure cooker soon, but I'm really unsure as to which one is the best for me. I prefer a stovetop model rather than an electric. What is the difference in the new design Kuhn Rikon and the anniversary edition other than the lift handle? Is the Fagor set of the equivalent quality and is it useful enough for the extra storage space required

All have a low and high pressure setting. All come with instruction books and recipes.Between the Kuhn Rikon pressure cookers we offer, the Anniversary model is a 3.75 quart pressure cooker where the others we offer are larger (5.5 quart and 7 quart). The Anniversary has listed cooking times for 20 of the most popular dishes to cook in a pressure cooker, where the others don't. All of the Kuhn Rikon's have 5 integrated safety mechanisms to prevent opening the pressure cooker while under pressure and all are made in Switzerland.The Fagor 5 piece pressure cooker set has both a 4 and an 8 quart pot for more versatility. Fagor also includes a glass lid so your 4 and 8 quart pots can double as stock pots. I don't know the difference between the Kuhn Rikon and the Fagor. I have the 3.5 qt one and I absolutely love it. It was pricey, but well worth it. Made in Switzerland, well finished, thick steel. I highly recommend it. Take a look at my review as well
