Helpful Tool
It's a tedious job to do each one, but the blade is sharp and cuts through and removes the hard inner core of the brussel sprout easily. It's safe and cleans up nicely.

Actually works quite well
I wasn't completely convinced this gadget would work when I ordered it but thinking back to the hours I've spent prepping sprouts made me jump. It works for me. Removed heavy core without having sprout deconstruct into loose parts. It made peeling off the outer layer of leaves easy.

It's a waste of time and a waste of plastic. I can get a brussels sprout done a lot faster with just a knife and a cutting board. At least it was only eight dollars. It seems like a great idea at the time

Unnecessary
When one normally prepares brussels sprouts, the outside leaves are removed and the bottom part of the stalk is cut off with a knife. This device attempts to cut into the center of the stalk with a pointed cutter. This cut is unnecessary rendering the device totally useless.

interesting
The twist and sprout is a handy little gadget - once I got the hang of it I really liked it. Cut the bottom off of the sprout and then twist the core out. It worked great!

I love this
This is a nifty little gadget that takes the burden out of clean Brussel sprouts. I first read about it in some magazine and cores and takes the first layer of the sprout off while you wash it.it goes so fast.now I wouldn't be without it. The other thing I like is that this gadget is small so it fits in a drawer

Has anyone used this yet? How do you like it?
A shopper on Nov 3, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have one and use it frequently. I'm usually not one to buy a lot of gadgets, but have to say this works really well. Makes the prep of brussels much faster.
Along with removing the core, does this also allow you to shred the sprouts?
A shopper on Dec 7, 2016
BEST ANSWER: No. The blade is not deep/tall enough for that function. It cores well. After removing the center core with this gadget i either shred the sprouts on mandoline or load them in one layer in large feed tube of food processor with thin slicing blade. Both methods work well. I find shredded sprouts much nicer when really hard part of core is removed. (I save these bits and throw them into a pureed soup later. )
