A dough scraper is a versatile tool that helps you lift sticky dough, scrape clean a rolling pin, move sliced or chopped vegetables to a sauté pan and more. This Sur La Table version is made of sturdy stainless steel. Dishwasher safe.
I bought this scraper while walking around the store mostly because it was only $7 and I thought it may be useful. It is perfect for scooping up chopped veggies from the cutting board and very sturdy! Great item!
This pastry cutter is still a great value, but you can get better construction and design for a similar price, maybe one dollar more or less.
I would suggest a pastry cutter with the ""blade"" going directly down the center. This one goes off to the side. Maybe some people don't find a problem with that. But I feel that it's a minor flaw in the design
I cannot live without this, if for no other reason than picking up pie crusts and cut cookie dough! It's so easy to slide this under the newly cut cookie and just plop it safely onto the cookie sheet...and help lift one edge of the pie dough circle to keep it from tearing to bits. It's saved me from a lot of frustration. :) I have other scrapers, but this is my favorite because the s. steel is thin and very sturdy. Also, the rolled up 'handle' doesn't connect with the blade, therefore no space for food and water to get caught in
Been making large, fresh fruit-filled scones. I use it to double check the thickness of the dough and to move the scones from the work surface to the pan to bake. The scraper picks up the individual wedges perfectly and transfers them to the pan intact. Recommended!
