Natural butter at room temperature always tastes better and spreads easier thanks to Emile Henry’s Butter Pot. This handcrafted piece allows butter to stay fresh and creamy for your favorite dinner rolls or breakfast toast, and the best part is you can keep it out on the table or counter. With this traditional French-style ’beurrier’ flavor and freshness are protected with an airtight seal for up to 30 days without refrigeration. Holds up to 8-oz. Crafted from enriched clay found in Burgundy, France.

The ingenious time-tested system uses ordinary tap water. Simply fill the base with the recommended amount of water, spread a softened stick of butter in the top and invert into the base. With regular water changing, the butter will stay fresh and spreadable for a month at a time.

Ceradon® is an exclusive process to produce strong and durable ceramic bakeware and tableware for everyday use. Thanks to the extremely hard glaze it’s resistant to scratching. Known for being easy to clean by hand or in the dishwasher and shock resistant, everything is highly resistant to chipping and guaranteed for years against any defects.

Emile Henry’s Table collection includes a complete line of dinnerware, countertop pieces, and complimentary tabletop serving pieces. The simple, yet classic shapes of the pieces are further emphasized by the vibrant colors and deep hues of the glazes. Because of the high-heat production vitirification process, you can cut directly in or on them without worrying about scratching the glaze. Each piece is made in France.
Emile Henry products do not chip or crack easily. You can even cut directly on the surface without scratching or damaging the finish.

Cleaning is remarkably easy. All Emile Henry products can go in the dishwasher.

There is no lead or cadmium in Emile Henry products, all of the glazes are 100% food safe. Offered in a large variety of colors, the glazes will not craze, discolor or fade over time.

All Emile Henry products carry a limited household warranty against breakage due to defective workmanship.

Clever and cute
I bought this on a whim a few months ago, mostly because that yellow color is so cheery. But it's actually a great way to store butter. The water seal keeps it fresh so you don't have to store your butter in the fridge that way it's soft when you want to spread it on toast. I've never had any trouble with the butter going bad, but I make sure to change the water every 2-3 days and wash out the crock before I refill it with butter. I also make sure to keep it out of direct sunlight. It's a clever little item I never knew I needed

So nice to have soft butter!
Never had one of these before, but it works great. Citron is a sunny yellow, very cheerful on an early morning breakfast table.
