Description

SPECIAL VALUE

Augment the usefulness of your stand mixer by adding a pasta attachment. Our special set includes three attachments for rolling and cutting pasta dough: a roller, fettuccine cutter and spaghetti cutter.

The roller makes sheets of pasta, including egg noodles and lasagna. An adjustment knob lets you knead dough quickly and work it to the desired thickness. The fettuccine cutter cuts sheets produced by the roller into fettuccine noodles. The linguine cutter lets you cut pasta into thin noodles; very thin sheets can be cut into angel-hair pasta. Set also includes a wooden cleaning brush. Made in Italy.

Highly recommend this for pasta lovers
I ordered this for my husband and he immediately put it to good use. The quality of this product is excellent.

It was very easy to attach to our Kitchenaid mixer and my husband quickly made us a batch of fresh spaghetti. I look forward to many years of fresh pasta!

One last thing - I had them gift wrap this item and it made a very impressive gift

pasta set
I am very happy with the pasta attachment set of roller and spaghetti + fettucinni cutters. The receipe book however could use a little tweeking. I made the whole wheat pasta as spec'd in the book, and the dough would not hold together. It does note that 4 large eggs should equal 7/8 cup, but does not say to add water to make up the difference. Once I added about 1/4 cup of water, the dough came out right and make excellent pasta.
All in all I am a happy customer

Pasta made easy
This was the best purchase! I've always struggled to use our manual pasta machine on my own...cranking while feeding sheets of pasta requires 3 hands!

We put this to use the day we got it and have made fresh pasta every other week. I've found there is no perfect recipe for fresh pasta and have been following Fabio Viviani's general rule of pasta: 1 egg per person, a bit of olive oil, pinch of salt, and add flour until you get the perfect consistency, or until your dough does hoola hoops in your food processor (yes, I said food processor!).

If you like pasta, GET THIS

Oh My Gosh, I Thought It Was For Crackers!
The pasta roller makes great crackers with any bread dough that has risen once. Roll a handful of the dough (rye? whole wheat? plain old white?) through until the thinnest setting. Put the ribbon of dough on parchment paper, and either cut it up into cracker sizes, or not. Mist with water and sprinkle on coarse salt, and or pepper, and or cumin seeds, and or sesame seeds, or nothing. The water helps stick things down. Bake off in about a 350 degree oven about 10minutes. A pound of dough makes a ton of crackers. If you do NOT cut up the dough before baking, you can break them off in big shards and serve in a pitcher. This causes serious wow factor with drinks before dinner. The rollers are worth it for the crackers! Note, this can be very low fat crackers.

1-2-3 Pasta
I thought making pasta with the old style pasta machine was easy until I invested in these pasta attachments. It has made it even easier to make great homemade pasta in 1/2 the amount of time. The clean-up is easier, I don't have flour everywhere, it's a dream. I would highly recommend this product to anyone who has an interest in making homemade pasta; you'll love it. I wish I bought it sooner

Awesome
I was undecided about spending that much money but I'm so glad I did. I made the most perfect noodles I have ever made. Fast and easy. I highly recommend this noodle maker. Homemade noodles are always better. I've made noodles for years with the hand crank version. Took for ever. Not with this, I was finished in no time. 2 thumbs up

Great addition
Appreciate the value of KitchenAid's power hub accessories, and this is by far my favorite and most used. Makes it so much easier to roll out pasta dough for ravioli or lasagna. The sizes are ideal. And you get the wow factor of telling your guests that you made them fresh pasta! Great way to accommodate gluten-free friends. And for your other friends, this helps mix it up by helping you make whole wheat, spinach, or red pepper pasta for a colorful pop and a healthy start to the new year

Pasta maker as gift
Gave this to my 14 y/o son after he had tried to hand roll pasta and found out how difficult it is. He loves his Christmas gift! He was able to use the machine by himself and made the best fettuccine we have ever had!
The rolling out part is a little difficult-extra hands are helpful. All in all, the pasta maker is an awesome device

I would like to see the dimensions written in the booklet
The instruction book does not give the dimensions of the opening for each the 8 settings. Page 6 gives suggested roller settings. Dimension for the opening would be nice. Well made, durable product.

Will the pasta attachments work on an older model - K45?

I was given this mixer by a friend and I love it. It is avocado green and I think 4 1/2 qt. I just don't know if the more recent attachments will work with it. Can you answer soon so I can get in on the sale? Thanks
A shopper on Apr 23, 2013
Best Answer: Hi Miss Lynn. Spring, TX, here. I wondered this also and located an owners manual for this kit online, model #KPRA.On the cover of the manual it states: ""Model KPRA"" ""These attachments have been approved for use with all KitchenAid household stand mixers."" There is also an 800 phone number shown on the cover: 1-800-541-6390. Just to be sure, you could call them and ask, but it certainly looks as though you should be able to use this kit with your older mixer. Our mixer is newer, but my parents have a very old KitchenAid mixer (40+ years old) and use newer attachments with it. No problems

Will the pasta making attachment for kitchen aid fit a kenmore elite?
A shopper on Dec 28, 2012
Best Answer: Because this attachment was made specifically for a Kitchenaid mixer, I would not suggest trying to use it on any other machine

Will these Kitchen Aid Pasta attachments fit on a 1989 5 Quart Heavy Duty Mixer?
A shopper on Dec 29, 2012
Best Answer: According to KitchenAid Customer Service, as long as your stand mixer is a ""solid state"" mixer, it should work fine, but there is no way to be sure unless you have the model number

What is the range of thickness settings that this set came make. I want to use it for making chinese dumpling wrappers so will it go to 0.25mm thick?
Davin H on Mar 27, 2015
Best Answer: I have only used the settings of 1 thru 4. There are 8 settings. The instruction book does not give dimensions. I took 3 sheets of 20LB printer paper and slid them in at the 8 setting. Then I tried 4 pieces of paper and they would not slid thru.
Book says - " for setting 7or 8... Very thin "angel-hair"-type pasta/capellini or very fine linguine"
3 pieces of 20lb at setting 8
8 pieces of 20lb at setting 4
I hope this helps

Would this be easy for kids to use? Wanting to make pasta with kids for a 9 year old birthday party and want them to be able to do alot of the work.
A shopper on Mar 25, 2015
Best Answer: The first couple of times you make the pasta it is a little frustrating. Now that we have our recipe down it is much easier. My 12 yr old daughter can do it herself. The point is if you use it several times before the party so at least yourself and at least 1 of the kids is proficient in the steps then the kids should be able to help out. I will say though it is difficult at best to have more than 2 around the machine. One thing to think about also is to get a drying rack like the Marcato. At a mimimum the kids could use the included tool to catch the pasta out of the cutter and put it on the drying rack.

We enjoy ours and will not go back to buying dried pasta as homemade is that much better.

I want to use this for more than pasta, what thicknesses do the various settings on the roller go to?
A shopper on Mar 27, 2015
Best Answer: I am interested in other foods I could make with roller as well -- let me know of suggestions.

Pasta roller has settings of 1 to 9 with 1 being thickest at approx 3/16". You could possibly turn knob to right of number 1 and thus increase thickness to 1/4" (4/16").

Hope this helps!
