Kitchen shears are useful for a variety of tasks in the kitchen. Whether youre dividing up a whole chicken or just cutting out another favorite recipe, these Wüsthof shears will do the job.
I have had these shears in my kitchen for well over a year now and they have not shown one sign of distress! They're lightweight and don't weigh my hand down during extreme cutting. Very sharp! Would recommended to anyone.
Good news is this scissors comes apart for cleaning. Bad news is this scissors LOVES to come apart even when just picking it up. It's not as hefty as the one it was replacing but it should be good for ordinary kitchen duties. The review says it can be used as poultry shears but I find it too flimsy for that use.
I love these kitchen shears. I had these on our wedding registry, and we got them as an early gift from a guest. These are the best kitchen shears I have ever run across. They can cut through anything, and are so easy to clean. I'd love to buy one or two extra sets just to have on hand. You will find so many uses for these, it is incredible. These are a definite must-have for your kitchen
After reading all the wonderful reviews, I was so exasperated. Finally I saw that another reviewer said the same thing.....I'm not crazy after all....these shears come apart every two seconds. I hate them. Just picking them up, they come apart. They have actually fallen almost hurting someone several times because they come apart so easily. I don't understand the positive reviews.
Wusthof Kitchen Shears would be my one ""desert island"" necessity: I use them for snipping fresh herbs such as mint, basil and rosemary, snipping macerated fruit into smaller pieces, cutting parchment paper to fit pans, making quick work of coarsely chopping pecans and walnuts, and chopping vegetables such as asparagus into uniform lengths. They slide apart for easy washing in the dishwasher, and mine have stayed super-sharp for over two years despite daily abuse. Made in Germany, these should last you for many years of kitchen prep
Best Answer:For the longest time I always thought they're dishwasher safe. This is my second pair, but just like the knives I've learned not to keep putting them in the dishwasher and to just hand wash. I noticed over time my original pair of scissors started to rust and form brown spots from putting them in the dishwasher. I hope this helps.
