"When Precision Matters, These Tongs Matter"
I tend to think that chefs who use fine tongs all the time are pretentious louts with hoity-toity, too-clever-by-half sensibilities. That being said, I think there are some times and applications when these are essential.

These tongs offer exactly that kind of precision, they're really easy to clean (though I don't put them in the dishwasher as the manufacturer suggests.

European chefs use tongs like this to turn small items like scallops and shrimp. I have used chopsticks for small items in the past, I expect these will be easier to use.

Went to a baby shower and they served asparagus with the brunch and did not have the appropriate serving piece. I am giving this to the hostess as a thank you gift. I liked it so much I bought one for my daughter and myself too.
