Initial Review
I was extremely excited to find this product; however upon opening the box the instructions were limited to 5 photos and no words. OK, I get the picture literally and after the first use the cover which is a heavy plastic is already cracked from what looks like too much pressure. I am exchanging it for another one to see if I have the same issue.
This is a great idea, but without written instructions such as pump x amount of times or until you feel slight pressure there is no way to know if this will happen again or if I just got a flawed product.
I will use it again and will update my status at that point about this product

Directions
I love the idea of this, but with no directions, I'm finding it very difficult to use! Not overly pleased. I guess I will have to venture back to the store to get directions

Great Product
The Vacu Vin is such a great tool in my kitchen. With a little flavored oil, flavored balsalmic, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce and a few spices, you can have some of the most amazingly tasty roasts - marinading for an hour instead of all day! Highly recommend!

Just Tried It
I just tried out my Vacu Vin Marinator and it's very easy to use. Nice large, wide bowl and easy to clean as the bowl is dishwasher safe. I own the Vacu Vin wine preserver and it's the same size fitting, but the marinator comes with a longer heavier duty pump because of the amount of air that needs to be drawn from it vs a bottle of wine. They are interchangeable if you needed to do that though.

I usually marinate meats in a vacuum bag, but that could be very messy and it takes time (using sealer and cleaning up). This seems much easier and looks like it would do the same job much faster. I have Vacu Vin wine sealers, so using this is familiar to me.

I love to marinate but sometimes if my meat is too thick or I don't have enough time to marinate then the seasoning doesn't go through to the meat. I am looking forward to trying these because it will take a shorter marinate time to get great results

With only pictures and no instructions how does it work? The instant marinating bowl
Leslie on May 3, 2015
Best Answer: You place the items you want to marinade into the bowl with either wet or dry ingredients. Put the lid on and suction out the air with the pump provided, creating a vacuum inside the bowl that drives the marinade into the food. To release the lid just press the button in the middle of the lid.

can i use the same vacu vin pump for the wine stoppers?
lisa t on Jun 11, 2015
Best Answer: You can interchange the pumps to use on either item since the fitting is the exact same size. The only difference is the size of the pump for the marinator is taller for the fact it needs to draw out more air vs a wine bottle.

how much fits in it?i.e. chicken, steak, ect

Best Answer: The product packaging does not list a capacity but I filled it with water to the top of the swirl on the side (which the packaging does refer to as full) and it held about 9 cups. The base is approx. 3.5" deep by 9" wide. I did two pork tenderloins with plenty of room to spare. I think you could get about 8 boneless chicken breasts into the container easily. I hope that helps.
