We love this for how quickly it lets you add flavor. Vacuum opens up the pores of food to allow for a deep marinade in fewer than 20 minutes. Dishwasher safe. 2½ qt.
Vacu Vin Instant Marinator:
The Instant Marinator is a unique dish that marinates and tenderizes meat, fish, chicken and vegetables in just minutes. It works by creating a vacuum which opens up the pores and fibers of the meat allowing for a deep and instant marinade! This process also tenderizes the food. Marinating foods adds delicious flavors and protects them from the heat of the barbecue, grill, oven or pan
Material: Polycarbonate container with a plastic pump
I was extremely excited to find this product; however upon opening the box the instructions were limited to 5 photos and no words. OK, I get the picture literally and after the first use the cover which is a heavy plastic is already cracked from what looks like too much pressure. I am exchanging it for another one to see if I have the same issue. This is a great idea, but without written instructions such as pump x amount of times or until you feel slight pressure there is no way to know if this will happen again or if I just got a flawed product. I will use it again and will update my status at that point about this product
This is an outstanding product from Vacu Vin. I have had my marinator for 3 years and just love it. You get hours of marination in just 20-30 minutes. Since we are just two, I sometimes put my sauce and meat in a small dish inside the marinator. The vacuum system provides the pressure to infuse the meat without having to use lots of sauce. The friend who gifted me with this has had hers for 3 year longer and has never had any problems. I have bought several as gifts and everyone loves it
The Vacu Vin is such a great tool in my kitchen. With a little flavored oil, flavored balsalmic, soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce and a few spices, you can have some of the most amazingly tasty roasts - marinading for an hour instead of all day! Highly recommend!
I usually marinate meats in a vacuum bag, but that could be very messy and it takes time (using sealer and cleaning up). This seems much easier and looks like it would do the same job much faster. I have Vacu Vin wine sealers, so using this is familiar to me.
Best Answer:The product packaging does not list a capacity but I filled it with water to the top of the swirl on the side (which the packaging does refer to as full) and it held about 9 cups. The base is approx. 3.5" deep by 9" wide. I did two pork tenderloins with plenty of room to spare. I think you could get about 8 boneless chicken breasts into the container easily. I hope that helps.
