5.75 qt. black coq au vin
I LOVE my cocotte...everything about this pot is fabulous. I had never had one (I am 72) and don't think I will ever put this away in a cabinet. It has produced the best chili, best baked beans and best pot roast I have ever made or tasted. Nothing sticks. It is everything you may have read as to how wonderful Staub is...and I will be getting a larger one...perhaps a 7 qt. round one next. Love, love, love this pot!

I frequently use this type of pot for soups, stews and braises and the Staub brand was recommended by a chef friend.

1st and foremost, I want that rooster handle but also, I already have this pot as a smaller cocotte, and it braises, cooks, and simmers more evenly and thoroughly while maintaining all its natural flavors more than any other pan I've ever cooked in. You get what you pay for and this is an incredible deal to boot!! You won't be sorry with this one!!

Sometimes you need a big pot to feed a crowd and at the price I couldn't pass this one up. Staub quality is second to none and nothing performs better. This size and shape is pretty versatile when cooking for a large group.

staub black coq au vin

what color is the interior of the staub dutch oven--for any/all colors?
A shopper on Mar 19, 2011
BEST ANSWER: In new fall colors, an enameled cast-iron casserole that celebrates the classic French recipe coq au vin. Superb for braising, stewing and simmering, spikes inside the lid drop evaporated juices back into food for continuous basting. Recipes included. Made in FranceAll Staub products have the black graphite color interior, regardless of the exterior color
could I cook spanish rice in any stab round cast iron pot?
MERCEDES C on Jan 22, 2016
BEST ANSWER: Absolutely! I love my Staub pots for rice cookery. Just be sure to use low heat or you can very easily burn your rice when you are toasting it and you can scorch the bottom while cooking the rice. I actually put my Staub pot in the oven to cook rice when it comes time to cover it.
