The Sur la Table brand ramekins are a fantastic value and great to have around the kitchen and very durable. I use the 1 and 2 oz size to hold measured ingredients for baking and cooking. They are also perfect for condiments and sauces. The 7 oz size are great for baked desserts and diced fruit. You can't have too many of these. Start with a dozen each. The more the merrier.
I use the 2-inch ramekins all the time! They are perfect for serving condiments, or using for a portion-controlled snack of raisins and nuts. Their classic design looks nice with any table setting, too
I use these ramekins constantly. I can pre-measure ingredients or spices and have them handy--especially useful when making curry! They're beautiful servers for dessert, whether creme brulee, fruit, or rice pudding, and for toppings at the table. They've held up well under the broiler and the Benzomatic. I've returned to the store three times to get more
I love these ramekins. I got them during the fall sale and have used a variety of sizes. I have used the 18oz for souffle and chicken pot pies. I have used the 1oz ones for prep work and salt/pepper by the grill. I have used the 2oz ones for mini creme brulee tasters of vanilla, chocolate/mocha, and green tea. And I have used the 7oz for flan and traditional creme brulee
I took a fall cooking class at SLT this week and one of the dishes we made was a chocolate chunk bread pudding. I was just at the store today to pick up some 10 oz ramekins similar to the ones that were used in class. I cannot wait to use them to make this dessert for my family over the Thanksgiving holiday! Also, what a great deal on these! Don't miss out
These are perfect for side soups, beans, toppings etc & keep from mixing with other sides on the plate. Thery inspire my kids to be more creative with food & snacks and we love the restaurant presentaion at the table!
Super versatile piece of cookware. I personally use them to keep ingredients where I want them while cooking (and brewing), but I have baked in them as well. My mom's old set are chipped and cracked, so I'm springing for some replacements.

I see in a previous post that these ramekins are supposedly oven safe. However, this is not included in the description like it is for the Revol Porcelain Creme Brulee Dish. It only states that it is freezer, microwave and dishwasher safe. My question is, how do you know it is oven safe? And if it is, safe to what temperature? Thanks

The pic of the 13oz seems to be taller than the 10oz & have slightly tapered sides, yet a previous answer said both sizes ere 2 1/2" high and have straight sides....which is it? I'm trying to find the right size to make individual pot pies & fruit pies, if you have any advice?
Best Answer:I measured our 13 oz ramekins. They are 2" tall, the inside bottom is approx. 2 3/4" widdening to 3", then adding a small lip for a final inside measurement of 3 1/2". They hold exactly 13.5 fl oz. We have used these often for flan, custard and pudding. The quality is fantasitic, but in my opinion, they would be too small for pot pies and fruit pies. I hope this helps
