I make chicken soup and turkey bone soup from scratch. The only hard part of that is fishing out the cooked meat-and-bones without having them fall apart in the stock. Cheesecloth works to an extent but always seems to offer some kind of an escape hole. I'm hoping these socks will work, at least for the chicken. If they also do the trick for the bigger turkey carcasses I'm gonna stock up for life!

I use these when I cook chicken that I later want to de-bone. I simply lift the bag out of my kettle/slow-cooker, let it cool slightly in a bowl, then remove the meat, de-bone it and put it back in with the rest of the soup. It makes removing items from a hot pan so much simpler and cleaner!

This is a great product to cook herbs in soups, sauces or brines without having them break apart in the liquid.

BEST ANSWER: Yes, all cotton. Don't know if that cotton was "natural" or not.
