I looked everywhere locally and no one carries these anymore, but this is such an essential kitchen gadget. So glad my sis told me Sur la Table has it for such an amazing price. Super easy to use and cuts any size slice effortlessly. And my kids can get cheese slices for themselves now
The marble is great, and I love that it matches on the handle. The size I thought was going to be small but it actually is the perfect size and is easy to clean since it is smaller. It also comes with 2 extra slicers, which is great
giving as gift on Christmas my son makes cheese as a hobby this should make a great gift. Seems sturdy and well made comes with extra wires should last a year of cutting cheese for him. Will need to order more wires. will be used a great deal.
We have been looking for one of these, seems like forever. We had one from Pampered Chef and my daughter talked me out of it. I was sorry I gave it away! My husband is so excited to have this coming our way.
I don't suppose it comes in a left handed version? Seems it would be akward to use with the left.

Best Answer:The design is a little more geared towards right handed individuals, but there is enough room to slice cheese on the opposite side if needed for left handed counterparts. Just a smaller piece of cheese would be needed for the other side to accommodate. It is a great piece for a table.
Even if you are left-handed, your right hand must be strong enough to slice cheese. Otherwise you might try a softer cheese. Alternatively, you could turn the slicer around 180 degrees so the handle is pointing away from you, and, voila', you have a left-handed cheese slicer.
Best Answer:The replacement wires come with loops on each end that you just slip on. You have to unscrew the screw on the handle. There should be instructions with a drawing included with the replacement wire.
