we love this!
I looked everywhere locally and no one carries these anymore, but this is such an essential kitchen gadget. So glad my sis told me Sur la Table has it for such an amazing price. Super easy to use and cuts any size slice effortlessly. And my kids can get cheese slices for themselves now

Use it all the time!
The marble is great, and I love that it matches on the handle. The size I thought was going to be small but it actually is the perfect size and is easy to clean since it is smaller. It also comes with 2 extra slicers, which is great

are replacement wires available for purchase online or in your stores?
A shopper on Feb 13, 2014
Best Answer: The replacement wires are available in stores, but not currently online

No mention of manufacturer or where it is made? Thanks so much.
janette on Feb 8, 2015
Best Answer: I don't know where it was made but not likely in the USA or other English speaking country based on the instructions on the back for adjusting the wire. It is sturdy and of good quality, I believe. Works well and comes with two additional wires. Remember that it is 8 X 5. Not big, but does the job!

Can this cheese slicer cut harder sheep's milk cheeses or just softer ones?
Heather K on Dec 7, 2014
Best Answer: I think it's even better for harder cheeses. Whatever you would normally cut with a wire slicer, this will do it, only more efficiently as its heavy and stationary. Cheers!

I don't suppose it comes in a left handed version? Seems it would be akward to use with the left.
A shopper on Dec 3, 2014
Best Answer: The design is a little more geared towards right handed individuals, but there is enough room to slice cheese on the opposite side if needed for left handed counterparts. Just a smaller piece of cheese would be needed for the other side to accommodate. It is a great piece for a table.

How do you replace the wire?
A shopper on Dec 13, 2014
Best Answer: The replacement wires come with loops on each end that you just slip on. You have to unscrew the screw on the handle. There should be instructions with a drawing included with the replacement wire.
