"one-handed operation, great for flour"
I use mine to store all kinds of flour. The lid seals tightly so that no moths or moisture can get in. I like how I can use one hand to open and close the lid - it's very easy. May not seem like a big deal, but when you're measuring fifteen different ingredients, this convenience is a huge plus. Just push the round button and lift

Pantry Essentials
I just got these to store my flours and grains and I love them. The largest one is perfect for a standard 5lb bag of flour. I have one for each of our Whole Wheat, Unbleached AP, Bread, Rice, Glutinous Rice, and Almond Flours. Also great for Dried goods like pasta and shitake mushrooms. The smallest ones aren't super useful but I do use one for serving raw sugar. Easy to use and keeps the pantry beautifully organized. I hope they last forever

"Works, but when it doesn't..."
The spaghetti holding one was dropped and broken within a week of using. I am worried about the seal, as when it was knocked over on the counter flour exploded everywhere!! Same if you shake it the lid will pop off! I'm not rough, at all. I expected this to more durable. I couldn't believe when 2 broke when Im just 5'3"

What are the dimensions of the various volume-size containers?

Do they all have the same-size square footprint, or do they vary? And what are the various heights
A shopper on Oct 27, 2012
BEST ANSWER: Air-tight freshness with just the push of a button—great for keeping spices, pasta, flour and other dry foods. Modular designs stack compactly for easy storage. Hand wash.

Here are the dimensions for each container (length x width x height)...

0.3 quart: 4.2" x 4.2" x 3.1"
0.8 quart: 6.2" x 6.2" x 3.1"
0.9 quart: 4.2" x 4.2" x 6.2"
2.4 quart: 6.2" x 6.2" x 6.2"
4 quart: 6.2" x 6.2" x 9.3"
Are they dishwasher proof?
A shopper on Sep 6, 2014
BEST ANSWER: They suggest you wash by hand. I have a large one I use for flour so far, I am buying them one at a time because of the price, and a cookie jar that everyone loves! But, they are great for baking when you only have one hand available, its so easy to open and close, I love them! Plan on buying them as canisters, and for my pet food, and Parrot food that is so hard to keep bugs out of!
Can you store leftovers also?
A shopper on Nov 19, 2015
BEST ANSWER: I would not. It is designed to store dry goods.
