The best way to slice, crinkle-cut or waffle-cut potatoes, vegetables and more. Simply dial in slice thickness and julienne setting. Smart handle design protects fingers; stainless steel blades easily remove for cleaning, store on base. Nonslip feet. Dishwasher safe.
Taken from Amazon.com ----The very versatile OXO Good Grips V-Blade Mandoline slices fruits and vegetables with ease. Four blades and a simple height adjuster make straight slices, crinkle cuts, French fries and julienne strips in a choice of thicknesses: 1.5mm, 3mm, 4.5mm and 6mm. The blades store on board and are easily removable for cleaning. A textured surface keeps food from sticking to the Mandoline and the food holder securely holds food and protects fingers. The handle and turning knob are soft for comfort and non-slip feet keep the Mandoline secure on the work surface. Fold the feet and lock the Mandoline for compact and safe storage. The blades need to be hand washed, while the Mandoline body and food holder are dishwasher safe.

"plastic deforms, not enough thickness options"
I bought this because I didn't feel like spending over $100 for a nice one, but this was not worth it. The plastic bends when you put pressure on it, which affects the thickness of the slices. It just doesn't feel like a substantial, steady piece of equipment. I also wish that thicker slices could be accommodated

Best mandoline for the price
When I went to buy a mandoline, I was a bit surprised at how many different ones there were, plus the wide ranging price tags to be found. I've used a wide variety at jobs and while at culinary school, from the big and expensive ones, to the tiny super cheap ones. All that experience aside, this is the one I bought myself.

So far, I've had this mandoline for a few years now. The blades are still ridiculously sharp, and everything is just as solid as it was when I first pulled it out of the box. I like the little plastic holder for the extra blades, making it easy to safely store them and not lose them all. I had an easy time of slicing a variety of vegetables, mostly carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, along with the occasional apple and pear, from the thinnest setting to the thickest. Switching out the blades was fast and simple, as was cleaning the whole ensemble.

My only gripe was with the hand guard. I found it to be a bit too unwieldy and bulky to mess with. This is probably due to the fact that I have extremely small hands, and much preferred to just slice away without the guard.

Overall, for the money it is a wonderful mandoline

oxo V is good stuff
got the V blade since reviews said it is better for tomatoes. It sure works well for these and other veggies. Like the design of storing extra blades.

Seems steady enough.

No complaints so far after 5 uses

Great mandoline
Easy enough to pull apart for cleaning, but I've had poor luck with the crinkle cutter. All in all, a great deal

didn't work for me
I had to return it. It wouldn't julienne carrots. The mandolin blades didn't cut completely through, so I had to break each piece off.
The white plastic got easily stained by the carrot too. I have other OXO tools that I love. But this one just didn't cut it

Love it!
I had one of those $150.00 Bron mandolines and I hated it. I saw this and played with it in the store a bit and bought it and gave my Bron to an executive chef friend of mine. This is easy to use, assemble, and clean. All the parts to it are "right there", too. When I need to make uniform slices of things, this is what I use.

Limited use
I thought I would use this more but taking it apart to clean it is a little more expected. I also can't seem to get the hang of using it so I tend to just use a knife to slice.
