So far, I've had this mandoline for a few years now. The blades are still ridiculously sharp, and everything is just as solid as it was when I first pulled it out of the box. I like the little plastic holder for the extra blades, making it easy to safely store them and not lose them all. I had an easy time of slicing a variety of vegetables, mostly carrots, potatoes, onions, celery, along with the occasional apple and pear, from the thinnest setting to the thickest. Switching out the blades was fast and simple, as was cleaning the whole ensemble.
My only gripe was with the hand guard. I found it to be a bit too unwieldy and bulky to mess with. This is probably due to the fact that I have extremely small hands, and much preferred to just slice away without the guard.
Overall, for the money it is a wonderful mandoline
Seems steady enough.
No complaints so far after 5 uses
The white plastic got easily stained by the carrot too. I have other OXO tools that I love. But this one just didn't cut it
