All-Clad Crockpot
Have had the All-Clad Crockpot for almost 2 years and have to say this is the cadillac of all crock pots. I have had at least 5 crockpots that cook on high while on low. Would come home and have my meal burned. That is why I decided to pay more than $29.99 for a crock.

I can brown my meat in the crock and put it in the pot. So clean up is just the dicing of veggies to add to the crock pot. EASY-EASY-EASY.

If you cook alot or want to make sure your meal will be cooked the way you expected it to in a crock pot, I suggest you pay the low price that is offered and enjoy your meals.

When I bought the crock pot it didn't have a see thru lid which I am going to find

NOT worth it
Used it twice - both times the meat turned out tough. One time I also cooked the same recipe in my older slow cooker (same cut of meat, same everything) at the same time and that one turned out falling-apart perfect. I don't think the lid fits flush, which might have something to do with it. Regardless, I'm returning it. It's beautiful, but you don't use a slow cooker for 8 hours to get a tough lump of meat.

Stopped Working
I have had this slow cooker for about 2 years. I immediately regretted the size - quite enormous but that is a mistake that is on me. Earlier this year it stopped working on the warm function so that I would come home to a cold meal (although it had cooked). Last week it stopped working altogether.

All-Clad Slow Cooker has great features
I just received my slow cooker and have only used it once. More than satisfied with outcome and look forward to many more uses during the winter months. I love the ability to pre-set the cook time and the ""keep warm"" feature along with the capacity of the cooker

I LOVE this slow cooker
I use slow cookers a lot! And I can't express how much I love this slow cooker. It is expensive but it is worth every penny. I know this may sound crazy but recipes that I have made for years actually taste better. I purchased the model with a metal pan vs. ceramic insert. I don't know if it is because you brown the meat and then slow cook it in the same pan or what but it is WONDERFUL!!

Best Crock Pot Ever
I have owned several brands over the years. This is by quite worth the price tag. It can be preset and it seems to cook at the temperature indicated:i.e., low and high. My other crockpots never got hot enough when needed. I bought this on sale during the Christmas sales and used it yesterday for the first time. My Roast came out perfect, along with all the veggies. I really recommend putting out the extra dollars for this cooker

love love love this slow cooker
I had two other name brand slow cookers and they did not make the food taste as wonderful as this MIGHTY ALL CLAD .. My husband is the one who surprised me with this! I am so happy he made such a great purchase for me. I have had it about 1 year and cook at least 3 times a month in it.

don't hesitate.. it cooks the food perfectly every time and extremely easy to keep clean. The food taste how it should... yummilicious

(I spray a little non stick before I cook in it) and its insert and lid is 100 percent dishwasher safe! love it

Broken ceramic bowl on first use
What a disappointment. We used the unit for the first time last night. We were cleaning up and noticed a large pool of liquid under the unit and on the counter top. We found a hairline crack in the ceramic. Unit is now unusable. Hopefully Sur la table will replace the unit.
We think the unit cracked while we were slow cooking. There wasn't liquid on the counter during the first 4 hours of slow cooking.
When we get a replacement I will write another review.

Control panel fail at 2 months....
Let me start by saying I LOVE All-Clad products, they are almost always top of the line. This crock-pot is simply the most beautiful slow cooker on the market. It also, for two months, was a true pleasure to cook with. Absolutely PERFECTLY cooked recipes (including chicken and fish). I used this appliance twenty-ish times between the end of October 2015, until today (January 10, 2016). 10 minutes into a 10 hour, low-setting recipe (pork) the digital display just "quit". Thinking this was an outlet issue, we moved it around the kitchen to no avail. Display just stopped working. I take FLAWLESS care of my small appliances, so this is not a misuse use. After reading reviews I came to the realization that this is not an "uncommon" problem. I am very disappointed, but happy that great customer service at the retailer will allow me to buy another cooker. I am not willing to try this one again as I do not want to lose additional money on the cost of my food. If you choose to go ahead and buy this product make sure that they is a great warranty or return policy where you buy. I hope All-Clad will make some changes to whomever supplies the elctronic components for this cooker or they will lose many loyal customers!

Why did SLT advertise this as a ""staff favorite"" when so many reviews online and even one review on SLT point to defects in the ceramic insert

Has this defect since been corrected such that SLT believes this to be a superior product now?I don't want to buy a product to last a year only, and both the warranty from AllClad and the SLT return policy only allow 1 year
A shopper on Feb 1, 2014
Best Answer: This slow cooker is listed as a staff favorite because it has been given a 5 star review by a memeber of the SLT staff that owns and and enjoys it.

So the ceramic insert is made in China....how do I know it does not contain lead? Are the other components made in China too?

I just received this new slow-cooker. Your web description claims it is able to brown meat within the unit. That was a huge selling point. Yet there's not a word about this function in the instruction book and the recipes all describe how to sear meat in a fry pan on the stove top. HELP??? How do you use it to sear meat within the unit?
A shopper on Nov 29, 2015
Best Answer: I believe This model does not brown. I have only found that model available at Wiliams and Sonoma, as it is more expensive and has a different crock that is not ceramic. However, I love this model and it has been worth the investment so much that I bought another for my brother. It cooks perfect and when the cooking time is up it goes to warm automatically. Such a nice and safe feature.

Best Answer: I bought my daughter an all clad slow cooker, because I absolutely love mine! However, i mistakenly bought the one with the ceramic insert. We returned it because you cannot brown food on the stove top. We then bought the one with the aluminum insert and you can absolutely brown on the stove top, then finish in slow cooker! LOVE IT!!

I bought this slow cooker a week ago by online and tried yesterday the receipt "Hearty Tuscan Beef Stew". I set the slow cooker to high, add oil and heat until the oil is shimmering as directed. It did not heat up and wait for nearly 30 min and still oil was not shimmering. It just does not get hot enough. I cooked everything by frying pan and put them in the slow cooker. I added wine as directed and cooked "high". It took nearly 30 mini to get boiling. Is it usual or my cooker is defect?
Hiroshi on Oct 6, 2014
Best Answer: No, your slow cooker doesn't have a defect. I believe the recipe on our website was made for a previous model slow cooker that had a different insert. Using the slow cooker that you own, the results are likely to vary.

How long can you program it to cook on high?

I read a review that said you couldn't program it on high for longer than 6 hours. This was a couple of years ago, and I'm wondering if they've fixed that since some people (at least the reviewers) thought this was a distinct disadvantage

Best Answer: We have only used the slow cooker and have been pleased with the results. Have no regrets and no criticisms. In my experience All-Clad is an excellent brand and functions as promised. Get the large sized slow cooker if considering a choice so that you can add vegetables and have enough sauce.

what's the difference between ceramic and cast iron - is one better than the other?
Amanda F on Nov 29, 2015
Best Answer: The ceramic insert in the All-Clad cannot be used on the stove-top to brown and sear meat before slow-cooking. I decided to purchase the Breville slow cooker with the die-cast aluminum insert - this is stove-top safe for searing and oven roasting. This eliminates the need to dirty another pan. i just sear my meat or brown my onions first then place insert into the slow cooker heating element and away we go, low and slow.
