I purchased one of these in the store and they work great. Just converted to a gas stove and pan handles get hotter than on my prior electric smooth cooktop so I'm ordering more of these.

I picked this item over the Lodge Silicone Handle Cover because a review reported the Lodge not to fit snuggly enough. Hopefully this cover will be an improvement as it is a new arrival & has yet to be reviewed.

BEST ANSWER: It's safe for temperatures up to 450° so as long as your cooktop doesn't heat up past that point it should be fine.
Can this stay on the skillet while it is in the oven? Is it heat resistant?
