Japanese Classic made in China?
This is a genius invention. I find this duo much easier to use than the smooth marble type. I recommend using a small silicone brush to get the ground contents from the textured surface of the bowl where it can get trapped. As this is a Japanese item, I wish SLT would sell the ones made there

Mortar and Pestle

What pestal comes with this Mortar and Pestle ?
A shopper on Apr 11, 2011
Best Answer: The mortar is earthenware and the pestal is acutally wooden. The wooden pestle provides for a gentler grind to protect the mortar. This item is hand wash only and is 5_"" diam
