Works well. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that it does not grind the coffee fine enough without all lot of sifting and regrinding. It is probably good enough for most uses, though I would not use it for an espresso machine, if at all, without doing more to grind the coffee finer.
Does this grinder also handle seeds, spices and nuts and if it does how well does it handle these items

Best Answer:This grinder is made to grind coffee beans, dry spices and herbs, but not for seeds or nuts. Capresso suggest you use separate grinders if you grind spices regularly, as they could impart their flavor into your coffee
I just bought this but it doesn't say how long to grind beans for different coffee makers. How long should I grind one standard coffee measure for:flat bottom filter, cone filter pour over, percolator,French pressHow many seconds should I add for each additional coffee measure

Best Answer:I found the answer on the Capresso website.""Capresso's Cool Grind blade grinders are suitable for drip coffee makers, French press and percolators. The stainless steel blades will rotate at a very high speed (20,000 to 30,000 rpm) and quickly chop the coffee beans into fine particles. The longer the blades grind the coffee, the finer the coffee will become and can eventually lead to "coffee dust." It is therefore recommended to pulse the blade grinder in short burst of 2-3 seconds so that the coffee does not get overheated while the blade is revolving. For a coarse grind, pulse for 8-10 seconds. For a medium grind, pulse for 10-15 seconds. It is not recommended to use a blade grinder for fine grinding as the consistency of the grind is not as uniform as burr grinders can achieve."
There isn't a different grind time for each specific type of coffeemaker. Capresso simply suggests that you grind your coffee in 10 second intervals, grinding the maximum amount for 20 to 30 seconds. They don't recommend grinding your beans for more than 30 seconds, as the beans will begin to warm up and start losing their flavor
Best Answer:The one I have that looks like the picture in the question is Model #505, not a 501,01. However, I only know of my model and there could be others with that model number that look like mine, for all I know.
