Very Affordable
Grinds Coffee. lol I like that it's compact and I can either leave it on the counter or store it neatly if need be. Was exactly what I was looking for. Works great.

Works well. The only reason I haven't given it 5 stars is that it does not grind the coffee fine enough without all lot of sifting and regrinding. It is probably good enough for most uses, though I would not use it for an espresso machine, if at all, without doing more to grind the coffee finer.

concerning Capresso Cool Grind Blade Grinde

Does this grinder also handle seeds, spices and nuts and if it does how well does it handle these items
A shopper on May 31, 2013
Best Answer: This grinder is made to grind coffee beans, dry spices and herbs, but not for seeds or nuts. Capresso suggest you use separate grinders if you grind spices regularly, as they could impart their flavor into your coffee

What is grind timing?

I just bought this but it doesn't say how long to grind beans for different coffee makers. How long should I grind one standard coffee measure for:flat bottom filter, cone filter pour over, percolator,French pressHow many seconds should I add for each additional coffee measure
A shopper on Mar 5, 2014
Best Answer: I found the answer on the Capresso website.""Capresso's Cool Grind blade grinders are suitable for drip coffee makers, French press and percolators. The stainless steel blades will rotate at a very high speed (20,000 to 30,000 rpm) and quickly chop the coffee beans into fine particles. The longer the blades grind the coffee, the finer the coffee will become and can eventually lead to "coffee dust." It is therefore recommended to pulse the blade grinder in short burst of 2-3 seconds so that the coffee does not get overheated while the blade is revolving. For a coarse grind, pulse for 8-10 seconds. For a medium grind, pulse for 10-15 seconds. It is not recommended to use a blade grinder for fine grinding as the consistency of the grind is not as uniform as burr grinders can achieve."

is this the 501.01 model?
A shopper on Mar 14, 2015
Best Answer: The one I have that looks like the picture in the question is Model #505, not a 501,01. However, I only know of my model and there could be others with that model number that look like mine, for all I know.

Is this grinder good from grinding espresso?
A shopper on Feb 1, 2015
Best Answer: I bought this for a wedding present for the daughter of my cousin. I really don't know.
She asked for this one in particular.

Does the ground coffee stay in the same container with the blades?
Rebecca H on May 30, 2015
Best Answer: I gave this as a wedding gift to my cousin's daughter and her husband. Sur la Table sent it directly to them, so I really don't know. I have something similar, and the grounds usually go through to a holder beneath the blades.
