Ever kitchen needs one
I have one of these in my primary residence and another in my vacation cabin because this pastry blender works. I'm 67 years old, and most of my life, I used two knives to cut the butter into the flour, just like Grandmother taught me to do it. This tool is so much easier. The handle fits my hand and the pressure needed to blend the butter and flour is a directly downward push from my shoulder, not a crisscross motion with my wrists. I use a similar tool for mashed potatoes.

May it last another 50 years
Just recycled my old wire pastry blender -- 50 years or more old because it was difficult to mix with.

May this replacement work well for another 50.

Much sturdier, slightly broader base.

Every cooking show I watch has the chef using a pastry blender to make pie crusts and the like. So, I thought it was about time that I bought one.

One needs a pastry blender and my husband threw away my last one thinking that it was an unneeded, extra potato masher.

I needed an easier way to cut butter into flour without using two knives. This looks like it would be easier and faster and do a better job. I have always wanted one.

I was busy making biscuits with my old wire pastry blender and the nice cold butter bent the wires into new sculptures! I'm ready for some new blending power with this heavy duty workhorse ;)

Most pastry blenders are cheap and flimsy. This one looks heavy-duty. The hand grip also looks more comfortable and substantial.

This is a gift, but I prefer it to the wire style pastry cutters because all of the ones I own in that style get bent out of shape.
