I've had these for 10 years n use them everyday! They look just like they did the day I got them. They're heavy duty n do not bend
at all like the cheap ones. I'm so excited to find them after all these years! I will be going this weekend to get another set Just because. ;

Really great to work with
I, too, have owned my set for over ten years, and they are like new. Really strong, thick so they never bend, the edges are nice and clean but not too sharp, never any rust spots, true 18/10. We moved overseas and I lost the 1-cup measure, and I'm thrilled to find them here, where I can add a few products and get free shipping.

Are these a 1-piece design?

Best Answer: These measuring cups are a 2-piece design. They are welded where the handle meets the cup.

Are these made of 18/10 stainless steel? I have reviews on other sites commenting that older versions of these products were plainly stamped "18/10 stainless steel" while newer ones were only stamped with "stainless steel". Also, newer versions weigh less.

Best Answer: Hi Jean : ) I recently bought these on sale from Sur La Table. They appear to be stainless steel but as mine are not stamped 18/10, the odds are since they are made in China for a Canadian company that cost savings may have been instituted to save money. However, that being said. I do have a set of measuring spoons made of 18/8 SS by Amco out of Japan that when weighed come in at 2.96 ounces where the Cuispro come in at 3.10 ounces. They are also very shiny. (I took the 'pinch' one off the ring (and took the ring off too) so the weighing would be closer in comparison. My 18/8's are duller by comparison but they are seriously older as well and have gone through many dishwashing events probably contributing to their dullness. I personally like them as they fill the need for the non-standardized measuring instruments in my world. I do live on a boat, so the fact they are ss will be tested sooner rather than later. I just got rid of the beaters for a mixer because they rusted and I don't want the rust transferring to a the food, I was unable to remove the rust sufficiently to meet my standards. If these rust,, I will pitch them too. But so far so good. It took the beaters over 3 years to betray me. But living on a boat, has its challenges. Hope this helps you.

How long are the handles?
A shopper on Jan 11, 2015
Best Answer: They start at 4.75" and graduate down to 4.0". The larger the cup, the shorter the handle.

can you use on stove on low heat as are stainless steel
A shopper on Aug 9, 2012
Best Answer: Heavy-duty stainless-steel construction will take you through years of use and can even be used on the stovetop. A low heat should be OK with the measuring cups. High heat would not be recommended.
